View Full Version : The Elevator
As I was watching Pete wait for the elevator to come at the end of the episode, I noticed he was looking down at the button. This immediately made me think about the light sequence on the "test apparatus".
Think about an elevator button, think about the last time you waited for an elevator...You sit there watching, waiting for the light to change/ turn off signifying that the elevator has arrived.
I don't know exactly how it fits in, maybe Pete was thinking about the button and the light turned off, so he went back and helped Olivia "change the pattern" of light. I'm not sure, maybe it was just a metaphor, but I definitely think that there was some significance.

i rewatched this scene at least 10 times and i can't seem to notice any lights going on or off around the elevator. Peter just changes his mind and goes back to stay with Liv. unless you could guide me to what you guys are seeing .

Well they dont actually show it, because that would make things too easy, wouldnt it?
Its just a conclusion that can be drawn if you think outside the box a bit. Not saying its right, but if you are LOOKING for something other than what they show you, then you really can come up with any number of crazy conclusions. :confused0006:

i think that Peter has faith in Liv's abilities and just needs to be there to help her , like i stated in the other thread i believe Peter is Olivia's other half. and since the Universe needs balance to function so does Liv and Peter.

I just think he though he wouldn't make it out in time anyway.

I agree with Daisy that he knew he wouldn't make it in time. Along with the fact that he also cares for Olivia too..so he didnt want to leave her. So he stayed for support. But it is interesting how everything played out once Peter showed back up.

There's that. But I think better of Peter, and I'm very open to the idea that he has abilities that could augment hers. I think it's very possible he's had Cortexafam as a child, considering Walter was already wiring him up to car batteries. That moment in "In Which We Meet Mr. Jones" where Peter remembers being wired to the battery is still one of my favorite Walter/Peter moments.

I'm not saying he didn't augment I'm just saying that's what it looked like he was thinking at the elevator.

I agree to that i think he was there for support, but there is still alot MORE to Peter than we know and obviously with Olivia to. Im curious to know one thing........did the "practice" box of lights turn off in the same pattern/sequence as the bomb's?

I was a bit surprised that olivia didn't even hint at her appreciation for peter staying with her. He clearly cares a lot for her to basically put his life in her hands, least she can do is say thanks. Must be the stress.
