Hey guys! If you find any new articles, interviews or videos that feature Josh, this is the thread to post them in!

Here's one about his new movie:

It's hard to know if Joshua Jackson is actually going through what he calls "a quarter-life crisis" -- after all, he's a busy actor with a hit TV show and a gorgeous girlfriend -- but he speaks knowledgeably about the urge to question who you are and what you do.
"People call it a quarter-life crisis glibly, like it's something you pass when you're 25, but I think this is a crisis, at least in my life, that constantly re-surfaces," he was saying the other day from New York City, where he's working on the program Fringe and frequently photographed with his companion, actress Diane Kruger.
"It's easy to let the days pass by, it's easy to fritter our time away. There are so many quotidian things that have to be taken care of that it is very simple, in fact it's easier, to let yourself be buried by all those little day-to-day things."
That self-examination -- slightly deeper than you may have expected from an actor who made his name in the Mighty Ducks films and the Dawson's Creek TV show -- is part of what attracted Jackson to One Week, a Canadian film about a young man named Ben who discovers he has terminal cancer. Ben, who lives in Toronto, decides to abandon his life and his fiancee and take off by motorcycle across Canada, visiting iconic sites (he's big on the roadside attractions like the giant Canada Goose in Wawa, Ont.) and figuring out who he really is and why he is living the way he is.
Jackson says he has some sympathy with that quest.
"That comes up all the time in my life and that's ultimately at the heart of what Ben's journey is," Jackson says. "Why? Why am I engaged? Why did I have this job? Why am I living this life? What is the purpose of all this? If you never ask the question, I don't think you're ever able to taste the fruits of life."
It's been a sweet flavour for Jackson since he was born in Vancouver 30 years ago to a Canadian mother and an American father. His dual citizenship has taken him back and forth across the border to film sets and movie studios: he's made 32 movies, including The Skulls, The Safety of Objects and even had a small part in Oceans Eleven.
One Week, directed and written by Canadian filmmaker Michael McGowan, is a smaller project. Jackson says one of the things that attracted him was the fact that the movie is so quiet.
"I'd never done anything like that before. Most of an actor's life is reacting rather than being still on camera." Much of the movie depends on the audience putting themselves into Ben's position as we watch him riding his bike -- a vintage 1973 Indian Commando -- along the Ontario roads, through the Prairies and over the Rockies. Jackson says the solitude means a lot of the character is "postural."
"He goes from being a very retiring sort of guy to actually coming into his own physically right at the moment he is getting weaker. And then shrinking back down into an ailing body. You have to keep all of that about you as you're going forward."
But beyond the fact of Ben's cancer, beyond his immediate crisis, there's another crisis that Jackson says he's interested in: the way the character is just going through the motions and not actually living in the moment. He says he has come across such moments several times in his own life.

"There have been several crossroads in my personal life when I needed to take a step back. Go, 'What's the purpose of the thing I'm doing here, and why am I either spending all this effort doing something I really don't care about or not spending effort doing something I do care about?'"
He adds, " I just started my 30s. I think I am just past the last watershed moment. I'm in a very happy place. I think the mid-20s growing period is over now for a little while and I get to whatever the next crisis is. Life is good right now."
One of the good things is the success of Fringe, which is one of the hits of the TV season, although Jackson is playing it cautiously ("I don't like to count the chickens. It's funny how opinions can change.") He says things are going well so far, but he hopes the show can get even better.
In any event, he prefers making movies because they give him the opportunity for well thought-out, conscious and crafted performances. "On television you have to make all the choices about character beforehand because the volume of work is so high that you're really mostly running by instinct," he says. "In film you can be very, very specific about individual moments. Which isn't always a good thing: sometimes you over-think it. But I prefer film."
A low-budget movie like One Week is not new to him.
"Every film I've ever worked on was breakneck. And television the same. Maybe when you get up to the $100-million movies, but I've made 30 some odd films now and it's always a panic to beat the light and get the shots you need in the amount of time, so that wasn't too new. But the intimacy of it was fresh because it was 17 people. That was the entirety of our crew diving across Canada. There's a lot of layers of things that go into making a film that can occasionally get in the way, and there were none of those filters on this one.
"I sympathize with that journey. I sympathize with the fact that nobody makes the right choices all the time. I sympathize with the fact that sometimes, in order to live your life, you have to make hard choices and things get broken. People get hurt."

Thoughtful piece. I saw a short humorous E! segment where he walked, oh, about 25-30 feet down a trailer while talking to the camera, then said, "That's the production trailer of "One Week". It was pretty cute.

He's listed as one of two executive producers for "One Week". It's not all about the money, but executive producer status can mean if it does well, he'll make some more money from it, also.

He also as a (small?) part in "Battle in Seattle". In "Battle in Seattle", there were a couple of pictures of him with a short modified mohawk-type hair style. It looks like he plays one of the more combative protesters in the demonstrations. It'll be interesting if he does any news pieces for "Battle in Seattle", but they have a lot of recognizable names associated with the movie, it stars Ray Liotta, it goes straight to DVD March 9th or 10th? The previews were riveting. I was aware Seattle was going through a lot during the WTO summit at the time, but not like what the previews showed.

Joshua Jackson's hospital visit

Joshua Jackson has revealed he had to go to hospital after shooting a torture scene for TV show Fringe.

The former Dawson's Creek star plays Peter Bishop in the sci-fi series - who has to undergo various bizarre experiments - and revealed he hurt himself filming a scene involving a wire being stuck up his nose.

"They didn't even use the take because there was blood coming out of my nose, and it didn't fit into the scene," he said. "I was strapped onto a table, and we stuck a copper wire up my nose with a rubber protector, but that popped off during the scene in the midst of all the craziness, so it tore my sinus. It felt like someone taking a steel wheel to the back of your eyeball."

He continued: "It sounds dramatic but it was more comedic than anything else. They didn't rush me to hospital straight away. My brother Jonathan, a New York paramedic, was astonished. I had to get the doctor to write me a note, saying that I couldn't stick any foreign objects up my nose. It's my favourite doctor's note ever."Source (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/ALeqM5jRAHdE6xJssqJ3miZ6XRDNrW4lSw)

He has a fan website, but sometimes that webmaster doesn't know until the last moment, like everyone else. His appearance on Craig Ferguson a few months back was on a Tuesday night, she didn't announce until the Monday before, then also sent out a message that it might not happen.

Since the first of the year in the US it's been all "Twitter" this and "Twitter" that from celebrities. Greatly paraphrasing, he says he doesn't do Twitter. Thank goodness.

It's fine for those who like that sort of thing. I admit I get into major silliness on the shipper thread, and I may have some spells as the summer sets in, but it's also because I'm locked at a desk inbetween busy spells earning an hourly paycheck.

Especially with only a few weeks before filming next season, I hope all the cast is out in the fresh air with significant others enjoying themselves. I don't need to know what they had for dinner or how they feel about gossip du jour.

Well considering I was practically paralyzed with shock and could barely put together a sentence, conversation was kept to a minimum... :ashamed0001: I remember asking him what he was promoting. I told him that when I saw his name I forgot to look at the rest of the promo, and he laughed and said something along the lines of that being OK with him. :ashamed0001: He was super nice and even signed my friend's yearbook!! :haha:

So sweet . . . it sounds like he's pretty good at putting women at ease. A very good quality, when one can overwhelm a lady with his charisma and his charming disposition. I would have lost all power over my legs and uttered something close to "Uhhhaahalove your . . . gah?":crazed:

Or, of course I might be able to charm him with a momentary attempt at wit, and he would instantly sweep me away, forgetting his girlfriend altogether.
What? A benchwarmer can dream, right?

Oh alright. I gotta admit he's got a pretty cool lady. I would never want to be the "other woman."

OK. Must stop. I'm a grown woman whose feet are firmly planted in reality. Sometimes. :rolleye0012:
