Home-frakkin-run! I have to watch it again. My kids kept interrupting me so I kept missing little bits here and there. But I was all eyes and ears for that ending. WOW!!!!!!

I have to rewatch this. I missed like three minutes of the episodes at random moments, but I already gave it what it deserves: a fair 10.

10/10. In terms of advancing the story, this felt like 3 episodes. It never dragged, it never had me questioning what was going on, I was just glued to the TV wanting more.

Husband thought so, too. Nope, still one (only one hour! gah!) episode to go. LOTS of dialogue in this one, it felt like a dreamlike chase. The electron microscope radio! :haha: It was fun seeing Peter animated! And the sweet handhold in the restaurant, oh Walter.

THE BEST EPISODE YET!!!!!!!
Seriously though, the Walter-Observer scene, Walter-Olivia scene, Harris-Fire scene (lol), Olivia-Alternate Reality scenes...I could go on, but, you all know what I'm getting at. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

9.
It was amazing! The only reason I gave it a 9 is becuase I think it was somewhat of a set-up, a GREAT one, for the finale. I think next weeks will be even better since it will be following this great one.

The momentum built beautifully. "Pyrokynesis" ? Olive demonstrated that, she learned to focus it out of herself, instead of inside, in "Bad Dreams".
"Vision" is the glyph word. What are these alternate reality visions Harris was about to bust her over, Olivia set up as being unstable?
"Ding Dong Sanford is, well, you know," I can only hope. :D

Great episode, and lots of fun to watch. Shameless Star Trek plugging, but even that was fun. For those that have been following things closely, I felt like this episode had just the right clues at the right time to let "those in the know" know what was going on, if you know what I mean :o
Great observation Cathy ---- allowing the ability to focus inward is destructive to oneself, while allowing it to focus outwardly spares the individual (in a way).

I was giggling throughout the entire Star Trek bit. It was hilarious... And again, kudos to Peter and being able to think on his feet.
And I completely agree with you, this was the perfect episode. I said it before Ill say it again... absolutely seamless in the delivery. Looks like things are finally coming together.

Well they are supposed to be living, breathing weapons. This situation is familiar with what happened in the Cure... I wonder if the two victims (I can;t for the life of me remember their names right now) would have been able to somehow focus the energy outwards so they didn't have to explode.

*snip*
That was brilliant! Especially since it was the Alien/Child/God/Thing from that one episode of TOS playing the part.
"How did you get the isnformation?"
"I am the son of Sarek"
"Which makes you Spock."

Fantastic episode....! Gave it a 9. Loved the scene with Walter and Peter - Peter's project was a gift for his dad and his records... and Walter was so touched. Until he saw the glass break anyway.... *giggle* ... and Walter seemed really impressed with what Peter had created.
Can't wait till next week!

I haven't seen anything this good for such a long time. Not a hiccup. Not a flaw. Only edge-of-your-seat excitement. Special kudos to John Noble. I have never been moved to tears by any television show. I've watched that Olivia/Walter scene twice now and I've gotten misty both times. I want Emmy nominations here. There must be. Absolutely great moment. Kudos to Anna Torv in that same scene. This is a new Olivia. Connected. Reactive. Wonderful in every way throughout the episode. Man, I'm in love with that character. Maybe she has other powers, but it sure looks like her real worth is mother-henning the other Cortexiphan victims. She saved that woman's life. AND, WAHOOOO!!! Harris got it----good. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
A special recognition must go to Michael Giacchino. I criticized him in "Midnight", but the music for this episode was, again, theatrical quality at every turn and so added to the dramatic impact of this episode. Here I am, two hours after I've seen my first run and I'm still completely stoked.
I know I'm just falling all over myself here, but this was simply a perfect episode. Better than 'Ability' and that's saying a mouthful. :elmodance2:

Walter was dead at one time, and Peter. That's what Walter told Peter in one episode. "We were dead, Peter, you and me." <--pretty sure that was the line. So they were revived? remade? cloned? A clone without certain memories restored? In the mental hospital Walter saw his doppleganger?, perhaps from the other world. Why was Walter so upset when he saw it in his cell? Was that Bell? That was odd. Bell is never around. Where is he, or when is he? Why was Walter in mental hospital? They may have explained THAT one. Observer has power over Walter like a guardian or something, or else why was Walter so cooperative when Observer said "It's time to go." ? I don't know where because that was for next time I suppose. The people from the other side are doing bad things in the present dimension (the one we see on TV most of the time - Dim A), or making people in Dim A do them, or people are in league with them Dim B. Just how many realities are there on this show? You know, I feel vulnerable spewing out all these crazy thoughts, because I have no idea what I'm talking about. It's compulsive.

The "we were dead" clearly meant that they were done for had it not been for the Observer. How does that turn into a clone theory?

There really is a new Olivia, I was shocked at the looks of disgust on Olivia's face as she was leaving the Diner. I don't think she will hate Walter in the long run, but I do think she has such a new prespective on everything that has happened and Bell and Walter's experiments.

This episode was definitely a 9/10. Possibly 10/10 quality, I am not sure if it is by far the best episode ever but it is at least close.:D

Fantastic episode, 9/10 from me. Not quite reaching the heights of either Ability or Bad Dreams, I don't think. Didn't quite have the execution of either of those two episodes, however it had some exceptional moments and dialated the overarching themes.

I gave it a 9. This episode set up so many awesome things in terms of mythology. The reason I didn't think it was perfect was because of the way the Fringe team found Nancy. So, Peter was building a digitizer for Walter's records AND finished it just in time so it can be used to pick up the sound waves from melted glass? How convenient!! It was just too contrived for me. It just felt like the writers had reverted back to their ways from the beginning of the season, where everything was a little too conveniently put in place so that the mystery could be solved.
Other than that, Harris bursting into flames, Liv's glimpses at an alternate world, the return of Ms. Sharp, the cliffhanger ending, fantastic acting and great mythos build-up made this a very solid episode.
