We know Abrams is a Stephen King fan. Anyone else read it and see the simalarities I may be?

Bell = Morgan Sloat/of Orris
Nina = Sunlight Gardner/Osmond
Walter = Phillip Sawyer (only in Fringe, the mother is gone, the dad survives)
Peter/Oliva = Jack Sawyer

:what:

Premise from wikipedia for those unfamiliar:
The premise of the novel involves the existence of a parallel world to Earth, called "the Territories". Individuals in the Territories have "twinners (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossary_of_The_Dark_Tower#Twinner)," or parallel individuals, in our world. Twinners' births, deaths, and (it is intimated) other major life events are usually paralleled. Twinners can also flip, but only share the body of their alternate universe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_universe_(fiction))'s analogue. In rare instances (such as Jack Sawyer's), a person may die in one world but not the other, making them "single-natured" and giving them the ability to switch back and forth between the two worlds if taught how. Jack is taught how to "flip" by a mysterious figure known as Speedy Parker. In his world the beloved Queen Laura DeLoessian, the twinner of Jack's mother is also dying.

I like it ---- makes me think of Peter immediately (possibly dead in one world, solely alive in another, etc) and the whole situation for everyone somewhat. Makes me want to read the book, if only it wasn't written by King :D

Also the Queen dying makes me think of Nina (due to her being shot). And if there are correlations, then where does that leave Nina in the paternal scheme of things?

I adored the Firestarter reference in the last episode. That book was awesome.
