WALTER: If you've read my file, then you know the truth about Peter's medical history. I've been meaning to ask you to--
OLIVIA: Walter... there was no mention of any medical history. Just his birthday.
WALTER: Oh. I was going to ask you to keep it between just the two of us, but, uh... I suppose, then, there's no need.
Makes much more sense now! So Walter was making sure if Olivia knew anything about real Peter's death.

*exhales* Well, Walter's been talking to Peter all this time like he IS his son, wouldn't come out of the Institution unless his son signed him out.
But last night he started explaining to Peter that he went somewhere, to get something, because something had been taken from him. I'm thinking Walter knows Peter is not Actually his son, but still emotionally depends on him.
Frankly, I think they did that to let us know something wasn't quite right about Peter.

But that conversation also brings up the question of what happened to his med records in the first place. Perhaps someone has disappeared them?
Dun dun dun.

My first thought when reading this was 'Peter's records would be in the dimension he was born in', but of course there are/were 2 Peters. Does one Peter have to die for the other to cross over? Were his medical records destroyed by Walter in order for him to cross Peter over when the other Peter died. Yes there are 2 of everything, but does there need to be only 1 of everything in order for that person to cross over? Bringing one Peter to the dimension of the other would make one set of medical records void, hence needing to be disposed of and the other medical records wouldn't be a complete match. Leaving no medical records.
Oh my lord, I think I need to go and lie down :haha:

I don't think that's the case. You can bring anyone over to your side regardless of whether or not the original one is dead or alive (at least this is what I think). I also just realized that every "I don't remember that, Walter" and "Those ____ don't belong to me, Walter" could be a result of him not being the actual Peter that grew up with him. I like how everything sorta fits now.

You have had me cracking up on here tonight. Wicked sense of humour :tiphat:

Good point! Indeed it is :happy15:

I definately agree with this. Up until Peter died at 7 years old, the alternative Peter had no part of that life, only since then can he remember the past with his father.

And also when Peter is talking about Walter making pancakes in the beach house, maybe Walter is upset then because it wasn't him, you can see his face he is either upset or happy in someway.

While readin this thread, i started wondering how things went about in the other dimension when Walter took Peter. i mean, the Peter we know had/has parents in the other world, and he suddenly went missing, what did his parents do when he disappeared? i know it may not be anything BIg or relevant, but it got me wondering....
EDIT: Also ^^ I agree! Maybe thats how Walter remembered what he needed to get, because the Walter Peter was talking about was the Walter in the other dimension.
and now that you mention it, remember how peter was talking about Walter doing experiments on him when he was younger, how old was Peter? just wondering if it was this walter or the alternate walter.

I think Walter was very worried that Olivia would find medical records of young Peter ("Peter Prime" in the other threads) who was sick with hepea. And we know he died, so there should be a record of that, unless Walter got rid of it. But then, there could still be records of Peter having hepea, and I think, that time, there really wasn't a cure, right? If Olivia found that, it would've been suspicious that we now have a very healthy Peter. Good thing Olivia didn't dig that far, or maybe Walter was successful in getting rid of all the records.
