I saw at least two references to pirates in this episode. At the beginning, just as everyone is entering the FBI HQ 00:24, you see an agent watching a pirate flag on a TV screen. Also at around 29:28 in the beach house there is a model pirate ship inbetween Walter and Peter as they are talking. Maybe this has something to do with the 1st episode of season 2 or maybe something referring to pirating movies.

I saw the title of this thread and I was like "Wait, what?" But it's interesting that you point that out. I didn't notice it myself. I wonder what it could mean?

Weird! Does it mean something?? Like Walter taking/pillaging Peter from the other dimension?

Wow, awesome catch. Just rewatched the two scenes and the flag on the TV definitely seems like some sort of easter egg, the camera lingers on it for quite a bit. It's possibly a next episode clue. Or maybe it's a look into another universe?

I think it's probably an easteregg - as we know, the team doesn't just throw pirate flags around in the background ;)

Crickey, that's wierd. Good catch! I'd imagine it's there for a reason; they wouldn't have put that in randomly.

Good catch, edgesight! I couldn't make out the second picture, but the first pirate flag is pretty unmistakeable! :haha:

*?* I just realized, I haven't been over to the Lost thread lately......
If they would just have the actor say, "Thank you" in the background, and walk off the camera, what a hoot that would be next year!

Oops, I should have made it clearer that I was kidding. What with the constant speculation that the two shows share the same universe, I thought I would suggest that the ship resembles the Black Rock (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Rock) (as well as any other 1800's ship). ;)

I didn't see the second picture very clearly.
I don't usually go wandering into "Lost" trivia, but I saw the "Black Rock" link to Wiki today, clicked on it, and guess what I read?
The pilot of the ship's name is Magnus Hanso. HA!

Ahhhh! I don't understand what you're talking about!
That's okay, though. You don't have to explain it to me.

I'm not convinced it's a pirate ship; not all tall ships are pirate ships. The house is on the beach, after all. There's no Jolly Roger--unless the pic can be made clearer?
