I figured that, considering the number of Brits on the board is growing, we should have a thread for this, as there are plenty of British shows that I don't want to start threads for in the general television forum, because anyone not from the UK may not have heard of them, and it'd be easier to discuss them all in one thread!
So, what do you watch, UK television-wise? Personally, I love my comedy, particularly Not Going Out and Mock The Week. Then of course there's Doctor Who, which I love, but I have no idea if they show that in America, or anywhere else!
Everyone seems to have been watching Britain's Got Talent recently! Can't take to it myself!
What about you guys?

The only British Grown Show I watch is of course the ever hilarious, filthy, sexy, amazing Skins. I'm amazingly obsessed with the show and it's gorgeous Jack O'Connell.

Shameless! I kinda live near there as well so...my dad introduced me to the show years ago and I guess it just stuck. Also, 8 out of 10 cats, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Robin Hood, Merlin and tried all them Saturday shows :D I've also got pretty addicted lately to Ant and Dec so Saturday Night Take Away, and I'm a Celebrity rule my life when they're on TV. :P

I'm not watching any of our own shows at the moment, I think they are all pants lately. They need to bring The Green Wing back, that was comedy genius! Oh, I do like The Friday Night Project, but that isn't on at the moment unfortunately.

The Green Wing was great as was Drop the Dead Donkey one of my all time British comedies.
I agree that there isn't many good UK shows. I stop watching the soaps religiously about 8 years ago there is far to much reality shows on now. One I do like is Come Dine with Me but its not something I go out of my way to watch. I use to love C4's output but I think it has really drop of in recent years.

I think short is what makes its so good actually.
I watched the 1st season of Skins which I enjoyed but I missed out on start of season 2 so haven't bothered any more.
I find that the only live TV I watch these days is sport most of the stuff I have on my Sky + is from the US of stuff I acquired using those weird internet connections.
Its funny how so many hit US shows have non American actors in lead roles these days there is bound to be a backlash don't you think? I hear James Nesbitt is heading Stateside to try and crack the market.
