Yeah, I was pretty ticked that they're skipping next Sunday, I assume it's because it's the Labor Day weekend, which is a major holiday in the US. The first day of Fall is sometime in September, but Labor Day weekend is usually considered the farewell to summer.

I guess I was so pissed at the ending last night because Tara reacquired her 'blacked-out' eyes again, what the heck do you have to do to get rid of them for good, for pity's sake?

I guess it could be considered a philosophical argument that if you could live forever, sooner or later you'd just get hooked on playing Yahtzee. :haha:

I don't know if my expectations were too high, or if I had a different season in mind. I'm Very glad they're renewed for a 3rd season, but I thought this season was weaker than the 1st season. The first season blew my mind. It's hard to believe they're going to wrap everything up in only one more show. On September 13th. I'll double check next weekend, but that's what it looks like. Things are bound to heat up between Eric and Sookie, who knows How Bill's going to handle that.

I've been told what happens in the books regarding the three of them, but that's not until 3-4 more books down the line. I surely hope Alan Ball doesn't follow the book in regards to their threesome. Oh well, one more show for this year! At least we have "Fringe" to look forward to!

I don't know about you but I'm really...blah about this episode! After the amazingness of the last two weeks, this was a bit of a let down! Just a quick summary (as I've got 1000 words left of my dissertation and its due in tomorrow....:confused0066: ):

- I've gone right back to hating Lettie-Mae now after I'd softened to her slightly, stupid woman!! Urgh!!!
- Wasn't all that impressed with Sophie-Anne either which is surprising as Evan Rachel Wood is normally quite good - maybe my expectations were too high for her! She seemed more camp when I think she was going for sultry! Hmmm may have to watch it again!
- How funny was Eric in a dress?! :lolol:
- Poor Lafayette! He was all skitzed out cos of Lettie-Mae that he let Maryann get this jump on him! Oh dear now the Sook is gonna have to save both of them!
- I'm VERY intrigued to see how the clash between Eric and Bill is coming along - its all a matter of one-upmanship! I love it! Wonder how long Bill will be able to hold the V thing over Eric! I'm thinking Eric may just be devious enough to wittle his way out of that one! I think Bill may have shown his hand too early!
- Bill definitely didn't seem surprised to see Sookie's cousin Hadley did he - its pretty clear he has a past with this Queen and I can't wait to see how AB reveals it!
- What the hell was Sookie doing lying on the floor with that guy! Ewwww! Pretty stupid really! She was supposed to be getting in and out remember???
- What was Pam wearing? :lolol:

I'll have to watch it again, also, to catch more of the more subtle goings-on.

But I'm glad it wasn't just me. Last season was more interesting. Eric's definitely moving in on Sookie. It's too bad Bill and Sookie have not had any time to themselves, it's been all chase, chase, chase.

I'm not as opposed to Eric as I used to be, but I'll have a small stroke if they do what was lined out in the books, according to some of what the bookreaders told me happens. The Queen's involvement behind Bill and Sookie.

I think there's been some really stand out episodes this season! Just brilliant! I can't really say one episode in particular stood out for me last season - just the whole things was brilliant! But perhaps that's because I watched it all in one go whereas I've had to wait with this one! Urgh!

Judging from last night's episode I definitely think that is the way AB is going! The Queen knew all about Sookie and Bill definitely knew Hadley and seemed averse to Hadley coming back to Bon Temps - perhaps because Hadley would let something slip to the Sook!

And having read the books...I'm DEFINITELY not as averse to the Eric/Sookie storyline as I was before! I'm can't wait to see how it plays out!

Who's Hadley? If that wouldn't give too much away.

Alexander Skarsgard is looking better all the time!He said in the SDCC panel he wanted to show Eric in a more sympathetic light. When, grieving over Godric, Bill splits his lip, he is pretty sympathetic when he says "It's over. I'm a part of her now." Or something to that effect.

The bed scene/dreams of the last couple of shows Sookie had, were Holy Moley!!!
*clunk as I hit the floor* :haha:

It's even worse than that! But are you sure you want to know? :wink3:

No not giving anything away as her name and the fact that she is Sookie's cousin was mentioned last night - she's the girl with the pig-tails who the Queen was feeding off and playing Yahtzee with. In the 'Previously On' bit at the beginning, they showed a scene from the first season where Tara asked if Sookie wanted her to call Hadley and Sookie said no she hadn't been heard from since she ran away from rehab or something like that! But it seems she's been with the Queen the whole time and Bill knew her and knew she was Sookie's cousin! :confused0006:

You're not wrong! My reaction was along the same lines!...and is along the same lines every time I watch it! ;)

I really hope the season finale blows me away like last year and I truly hope it is better than last nights episode! :hope:

I didn't like this episode very much. Also I didn't like Eric flying.

I need to watch it again, hopefully tonight, but I have to 'clear' the tv on Wednesdays before "Leverage" comes on per hubby! He doesn't make many demands on me, so when he does, I listen! :ashamed0001: :haha:

That was a pretty lame episode. Eric flying reminded me of Heroes.

Sometime this weekend I'm going to watch the episode with fresh eyes, it may have been better than my opinion of it at the time suggested.

Does anyone think Alexander Skarsgard's been put under pressure from the fans to move to the forefront? Or no, he's actually seeking it out? He's plays a major character, a forefront role in a large cast. There's some similarities in the pragmatism between Eric and Peter in "Fringe". Not a lot of similarites, :rolleye0014: :haha:, but tall, intense and quiet has it's charms. :D

I saw one "Generation Kill" episode, it's up for several Emmys. We'll see!
