Sam and Olivia as a couple? An interesting theory, but I see them more as friends. I do hope we see more of him, as Sam's an intriguing character and I want to learn more about him.

i def. like sam's character, he is so intriguing! i want to see him more often. and after watching "olivia.in the lab. with a revolver." i saw signs of trust and what it looked like initial friendship. i don't see them romantically, but i do see him as a possible replacement for charlie francis.

I agree with you...to an extent. IMO, Charlie can NEVER be replaced, but I see what you are saying. He is definitely someone she can confide in and he is someone who is "safe" 'cuz he's kind of an "outsider," meaning that he doesn't have any involvement with the Fringe division or Massive Dynamic...that we know of. For right now, he is just the person Olivia needs. She needs to get her feelings out in the open, even if she continues to keep them vague. If she doesn't have that someone (like Charlie), she will most certainly have a breakdown. Now, I am one who will STRONGLY advocate that Olivia should, indeed, HAVE a breakdown, but if she is able to vent to Sam, then I will find it far more believable if she does NOT have a breakdown. Make sense?

That's what i thought! Fringe is kinda freaky so we don't know yet if there's any relationship between the Fringe divison or Massive Dynamic and Sam. :D

Anyway, i somehow like this guy even though i don't consider him to be the one for Olivia. (I'm definitely team benchwarmer... :D) But i think Sam is kinda mysterious. We don't know much about him, we don't even really know if he's "good" or "bad", but it seems as if he supports Olivia and gives her strength when she needs it most.
