I won't say I completely loved it, but I def liked it. The ending was unreal, and the trailer looks crazy. So what is Nina up to and why is she not telling Fringe division everything? So many questions now. And what was Peter's weird look at Walter for? I missed something there.

A great episode, unlike last week's this one kept my attention the whole time. It was nice to see more of Massive Dynamic in the spotlight. Not to mention the tie-in to an episode that has seemed totally irrelevant up until now. I was expecting it to bomb, but I'm glad I was mistaken!:happy15:

I really enjoyed this episode. It definitely made up for Earthling, in more ways than one. It may be seen as a stand alone, but it incorporated some of the mythology (Nina Sharp, William Bell, Massive Dynamic, Walter saying he can't lose Peter again).
The ending was absolutely incredible, and I can't wait until we see more development on that front.

Definitely an improvement over last week. The ending was great, and left us with many questions...

I loved it, I loved it, I loved it!
Fantastic episode! I mean, we had some quality father son moments from Peter and Walter, the case they were solving was excellent, and then Peter got abducted! For some reason, I also love the episodes were my favorite character gets in trouble or something. I dunno, I guess it is just more suspenseful that way!
The only thing this episode didn't have was P/O. But you know what, I can live without it.
GREAT episode!

If you look closely, you can see Peter watching Olivia a few different times, and Olivia was definitely worried when Peter was abducted.

Highlights for me was The Peter/Tyler interaction and Peter/Walter. I also loved how Walter held the teddy bear and his speech to Olivia.

I loved this week's episode! It had lots of father-son moments, interaction with Massive Dynamic, Astrid got out of the lab, and an evil mind-controlling teenage villain... What's not to love? I laughed out loud when I saw Walter and Astrid wearing those tin foil hats. I'm really glad that Walter finally talked to Peter about his mother, even for a little bit, we need more info on that. And we saw how Nina contacts with Bell; the machine reminded me of the computer that Desmond types the numbers into on LOST. Overall, It was a great episode.

This is totally one of the best episodes this season. The ending shocked me, not only because it tied into a seemingly mostly stand-alone episode, also because I never expected the kid to be a clone. The massive dynamic part was awesome too, I loved the tin foil hats.
Next week looks awesome, I'm hoping for two awesome episodes in a row. :shiny:

Great episode and a complete 180 degrees from last week's Earthling! This is a perfect example of what could be characterized as a standalone episode that not only has a great story, but also ties in very well to the overall mythology. I loved the references to 1x02 and hope the writers work to tie up other loose ends from season 1.:abzw:

Add me to the people who really liked this episode. For some reason I was really interested in Walter seeing Massive Dynamic for the first time; it really drove home to him how far Bell has gone without him, after all they had done together in the past.

Seriously. NINA guys. NINA. She's just getting too epic for words right now. And that cliffhanger. HOLY CRAP.

...One of my favo epi from this season {still 13 to go ;)}.
I really like the scene of Walter when he entered MD and saw the "hugenes" of it, just like a little child but it also made me sad, especially when Walter talked about him, Mr. Bell, Peter's mum with Peter....
&
I really wanted to give that red-haired kid a big kick in his arse, spoiled little brad untill the end of this episode.... So multiplicity ;)!
I wonder what more surprises MD/Nina will have for us AND our team!!!

I thought this was the best episode of the season, so far. It was well-written, it had a good amount of Massive Dynamic and Nina, it had a great ending, a cool bad guy, and good Peter scenes. I was surprised that it took Fringe THIS long to venture into mind control. That scene where Peter got abducted might go down as one of the best Fringe scenes ever. I thought it more than made up for Earthling, and gave me a great idea for a new sig!
I loved the Simpsons references, especially Tyler 03's mother living in Springfield. Nice to see that Fringe can be serious with hidden, background comedy.

BEST LINE EVER. :D
I loved that part, as said before Walter had some excellent one liners!
I thought the crepes quote possibly could have alluded to the fact that Walter himself abducted young Peter. It seemed as if Walter had that on his mind this episode, and I really loved that. He seems to be getting more human, if you will, as the series goes on and it's wonderful to see him evolve as a character.

LOVED IT!! peter got abducted.. Again!

See I dont see this as a standalone episode at all. While they kept us in the dark the entire epsiode, this was very much IMO an "on mythology" week. The thing is they didnt let us know this until the end of the actual episode. If you go back and watch the epsiode again, there are a bunch of clues that tie this episode to the over all mythology. Fromt he Yellow pills, the the clone army undertone. This episode wasnt just a little mythology, but totally on mythology via the little hints throughout the episode with the ending communication bringing everything together.
It also almost looked like Nina used the power of persuasion to get Walter back in check. She waslked over to him, on purpose touched him on the chest with her hand, started into his eyes and asked for help, almost immediately after this Walter came to out of his "fog" of doubt.
As for next weeks episode W00t W00t!!!!!!

From waht the writers have said that is exactly what they are trying to do this season ;)

I finally watched the episode!! Fantastic!!! I liked the scenes with peter/walter and peter/tyler! Peter bishop, the hero :happy15:
I loved this episode, especially the scenes with Peter!
Lost reference here: I feel like Nina is sort of the Ben Linus of Fringe, I think they're really going to keep us guessing as to whether or not she's "good" or "bad"
Any episode that has so much of Peter and Walter and their relationship is A+ for me.
I could have done w/o the graphic brain surgery, however. lol

Or like Sloane in Alias. It seems to be a theme off JJ Abram's productions, to have a character who really walks the line between friend and enemy.

First, I'd like to commend Joshua Jackson on that performance. I thoroughly enjoyed him in this episode, and it must have taken a lot of energy to turn bright red like that every time the kid controlled him!! :haha:
Also, that last scene where Dr. Carson was rolling Tyler #3 down the hallway, I couldn't help but be reminded of the very last scene in "The Prestige" where there are dozens of water tanks filled with Angier's clones. Very cool that Fringe went that direction.

I agree 0bserver, Joshua Jackson's performance in this episode was fantastic!
Loved a lot about this episode, Walter, the ending, Nina, and on and on...
Walter was fantastic, and how he said I can't lose him 'again'. :)
Finally a good episode, it seemed a long time to see one. Sorry but the last two eps was a downer which made me scared but now fringe is back on track.
This is what i want to see Massic dynamic, Bell, Sharp, Walter and Peter, Astrid out of the lab and a little P/O. This ep had it all.
Good Parts
I love the how the plot and sub plot dealt with the father/son dynamic. Both stories related to each other and I like how the writers did that.
Astrid was out of the lab for once, YAY.
Massive Dynamic is back, and more questions to answer about what they are doing. which means more theories yay. Clones? Mind control for the war? :confused0006:
P/O was good, Liv worried about Peter and the glances toward each other was cute.
Walter was funny again, especially the part of explaining the headphones. Telling the FBI they will die if they took the headphones off and at the end Walter says "have a great day":haha:
Walter + Gun = end of the world:D
I cant think of anything bad maybe because i am tired. But good ep and hopefully it will continue like this.:happy15:

I really enjoyed the new episode, it was great and it seems that the next will be even better.
But I was thinking, what may have happened if instead of using a kind of machine to shut down the boy the writers have used Olivia's mind? Because of the drugs experiments done to her she seems to be special. Remember Safe episode when she turned off the bomb, our the several times she was in the tank sharing consciousness with John, despite the fact Walter told her that she couldn't talk to John, she did more than once.

I don't think Olivia could have shut down somebody's else mind like that. She turned off inanimate objects so i don't think her ability will be that powerful.
Walter Bishop cracks me up :happy15:. Bickering about no food in the laboratory, interaction with Peter and how he can't lose him again. He and Farnsworth wearing tinfoil hats is worth a rating point alone :haha:.
The end with Sharp using an ancient computer to communicate with Bell was great too, I expected to see a mirror.
I'm happy with the episode.

I loved the episode.
Was really waaay better than 2.06, IMO.
The kid being the mind controller, Peter was involved with the episode's main story the whole time, Walter's concern... everything was great.
Can't wait for next week :D

This was one of my favourites of the season so far, a hugely enjoyable hour of television with a lot to love, but the main one being that everyone in the cast got a chance to shine. I loved seeing Nina, Broyles and Astrid getting really involved in the investigation, especially Astrid behind the wheel during the climactic chase. The story was tight, the performances from all were terrific, especially Joshua and John and the FBI raid set to white noise was a terrific sequence. Definitely one of my favourites of the season.

Great writing. Not too mythological IMO, but great nonetheless. Mind you we need more on MD, to fill in all the gaps. And mind control is also a theme, with probable future stories.

I know It's a long time since this series was first aired but I'm only just playing catch up with it.
It's more of a question than any real observation.
In an episode of Lost the charecter Desmond makes reference to a football (socer) team in Scotland, Celtic F.C.
In this episode of Fringe in one of the closing scenes Nina Sharpe is seen looking through a file of the young lad Tyler , I;m convinced that in the picture Tyler is wearing the top of Celtic F.Cs main rivals Rangers F.C .
Can anyone confirm.
I'm assuming if correct that one of the production team has links to Scotland and si perhaps a fan of Rangers F.C and has taken the opportunity to promote his/her favourite team.
