I think if we stay at, or above 6 million, we will be just fine. It's when we drop lower than that... that makes me worry. It seems like there are 5.5 loyal fans, with 0.5-1.0 million that watch on and off. Season 4 will depend on how much ppl drop off next year, and the time slot next year.

In the last week or so I have read a number of Lost fans saying that once Lost is done, they are going to try Fringe.
I wish they would promote the show and the actors more.

Ya, I think a lot of Lost fans would like Fringe. I already watch both, and lots of others probably do too. But you bring up a good point, even if we could get like 20% of the Lost viewers, that would bump us up a few million.

There's a rumor that American Idol is being moved to Wednesday/Thursday next season, which would bump Fringe out of the (IMHO deadly) Thursday 9 p.m. slot. This might not be a bad thing for Fringe, which just can't keep competing with "The Office" forever.

HOnestly, The Office i the least of the competition for Fringe. If you want to know the real killers look at Greys and CSI, both of those powerhouses are taking eyes both young and old. The Office while still taking numbers, is still competition, but its just not as bad as the others.....
Here are the ratings for the other major shows during that slot:

I just did some calculations and the average for this season so far, is around 6.7 million viewers.
Being up against CSI, Grey's, The office (already well established shows.. well into their 5-6th seasons)... I'd say we're doing pretty well.
Although I do hope that, for the new season, LOST fans will tune in.

Steve Carell has already asked to leave The Office after next year when his contract is up. That will probably end The Office. Some help. But here's hoping LOST fans tune in.
