View Full Version : What the Observer had Told Walter
In Over There part 1, Walter says that the Observer had told him he must never let Peter return to his own universe. However, Peter wasn't even supposed to come to this universe - it was a mistake made by an Observer. Wouldn't they want Peter to go back to his own universe to put things back to normal? Plus, if the Observers built the machine designed specifically for peter, what was the point in building it if they didn't want it to be used? Because they warned Olivia and Walter about what was going to happen to Peter if they didn't bring him back.

I don't think that the Observers built the Machine. I think that the First People built it..
and I think that the Observers are not the First People..

Because the machine and the prophecy have another meaning, but walternate wants to use them to destroy our universe. Look at the topic "Observers's Motives", the last messeges. There's an illuminating and very possible theory about Atlantis's story tied to Fringe storytelling! ;)
we don't know for sure that the observers built that machine. I don't think they did. sadly we'll have to wait to see who built it
