If they're smart, they've flipped it so that at least Peter is in the premiere. Someone may have finally realized the uproar that would cause after the premiere aired and the audience started going WTF? why is one of the three main characters completely missing?

He is in the first episode, at least in one scene...if you have seen the small photo promos about 'Olivia' there is a scene with alt Livia, Peter and Walter ;)

Every character is only in every second episode.

It's not just Peter. Both Olivia and Walter, not to mention the rest of the cast, won't be appearing in every ep. I suppose the problem lies in the people who think the originals and the alters are the same people. Well, news flash, they're not. Their actors will be in every episode, but not the characters. Peter is no different than anyone else.

My thought exactly...Josh will not be in every episodes like the other main actors of course, but the main characters will have all the same destiny..even Olivia and Walter will be in half episodes of the first part of the season...in the other ones you will see alt Olivia and Walternate and they are not the same persons.

I think I'll take the word of the actor who gets the script and he isn't in it, regardless of how things are edited later. It still means his screentime is near nil.

Actually the scene that you see in the promos photos of Olivia has been filmed at the beginning of July and it was the first scene that they filmed when they returned to work..so Josh knew that he was in the script of the season premiere...maybe he said that he wasn't in it because they told him to said it or because he didn't remember it..who knows. But he was in the script from the beginning.

They film scripts and scenes out of sequence.

They film scenes of the same episode out of sequence..but they have 11 days to film an episode than they go to another one because the director isn't the same for every episode so they have to have an organized schedule. Peter was probably being on the season premiere from the beginning and like i've said before probably Josh was only confused when he released that interview..

Considering the promo that came out was all about Olivia in the cell and her being in the altuniverse, going on that alone, the first episode will be the 'Olivia' one. Even the second promo has got Olivia talking to the pysch lady as well. I can't see them changing episodes at this point. They have the early part of the season all mapped out. I could only see them changing things much later on, after ratings come out and they have feedback from the viewers. When the premiere airs, they should have filmed about seven episodes and probably written/or at least drafted up to about half way through the season.

I think that someone has just labelled the episode incorrectly. The actors said that the first episode picks up where the finale ended.

If Peter is in 'Olivia', it could quite possibly be a flashback/flashbacks of somesort, or Olivia's mind being in a dreamstate, where she sees images of our universe. So, Josh was probably stating that really Peter's journey for this season doesn't start until episode 2. That's going on those images of episode 3.01 that were posted above.

Because probably like justkickit said he is in the first episode but only on a dream sequence or in a flashback sequence...it wasn't enterely a lie and it wasn't enterely the truth.

Actually, that would be a good idea. Peter as a character wouldn't be in the season premiere and it would explain the promo pictures.

Seriously, I understand the disappointment about not having enough Peter, because he is one of my favorite characters, but I can't get behind the level of anger a small bunch of people are showing (and the even angrier opposite reaction from extreme Olivia fans. Hello? This is not a contest between actors/characters). I will be angry if his character doesn't get the good writing he deserves, so until I see signs of this, I'll expect the best from S3.

I really hope it's just a mistake and that they haven't flipped the order of the episodes. I think "Olivia" would work better as season premier. And there was no uproar, other than the first surprised reactions from from a few loud fans. This Peter fan can wait 1 more week to see him ;)

House Season 6 premiered with only House and Wilson (in a one minute scene too) and no one lost their ******** over that.

Peter looks like he still loves Walter. If they get close again, they're going to love one another even more strongly. I really appreciate how Fringe has such a focus on a father/son relationship. Very rare on television and in Hollywood in general.

Oh god....
I enlarged the promo images with the box and i found out that it has a lot of odd/ancient symbols, like the device that works with Peter's DNA! :confused0066:
I'm 80% sure that the box has something to do with Peter!
