For all that is holy, I don't know what came over me. This is not my first Fan Fic but it is my first one to be written in SCRIPT format. I tried to do it the old fashion way but it didn't flow right. Hope you like it and I will try to update regularly!
Tell me what you think, Thanks!

A Bishop's Tale

It's nightfall just outside of a residential home with in the Boston city limits. A girl is limp in the arms of a Observer. He takes out a communicator of sorts. He places his hat on top of his head and presses a button. He holds the young woman close to himself as a blue light flashes. When the light is gone, so is the Observer and the girl.

End Scene

Boston General: Hospital Room:

Unknown Girl in bed

She wakes up sore and confused.

Enter nurse.

Nurse:
Good Morning.
(The nurse smiles and heads for the girl's bed side.)
I have to ask you some questions. You didn't have any form of ID on you when you arrived. Do you know your name?

Girl:
Yes, It's Elizabeth Bishop.

End Scene

Later that day: Boston General

Walter shares a story about his late wife. Peter listens but his gaze is set and focused. Olivia waits near the girl's room.

Olivia:
I haven't asked her anything yet, I wanted to wait for you.

(Walter looks in on the girl as she flips through channels on the mounted Wall TV.)

Walter:
She looks so young.

Peter:
Why is it that Broyles thought she might be – what- related to us?

Olivia:
Her report said that she arrived unconscious with two broken ribs and a bruised hip. Once she was conscious she said the last thing she remembered was a bald guy that took her just outside her house. Who dose that sound like?

Walter:
An Observer?

Peter:
There must be plenty other Elizabeth Bishops in the Boston area. And a lot of bald guys.

Olivia smiles.

Olivia:
It's worth looking into. Even if it's nothing.

(Olivia opens the door and smiles at the girl. She smiles back.)

Olivia:
Hello. I'm Agent Dunham.

Girl:
I'm Lizzy.
(she smiles)
You trying to hunt down my dad?

(Olivia plays off it.)

Olivia:
Can you tell me anything about him?

Lizzy:
Sure. I thought he was home when I was taken. To be honest, I can't imagine why he's not here right now.

Olivia:
Are you two close?

Lizzy:
Yeah. He's all I have now.

Olivia:
What is his name? Maybe we can track him down, let him know your okay.

Lizzy:
That would be great.
(She looks sad but relived)
His name is Peter Bishop.

Olivia looks back to the door where Peter looks on, perplexed. As he enters into Lizzy's view she goes wide eyed. She stiffens and looks like she's looking for a way out of the room. Olivia takes the girl's arm to both calm and restrain her. Walter enters. Lizzy begins to tear up and covers her mouth . When she regains composer, Lizzy clears her throat.

Lizzy:
What happened to me? How is this possible?

Olivia:
Do you recognize these men?

Lizzy:
(In a mock laugh)
Of course I do! But it's not possible.

(Peter slowly approaches Lizzy, taking cation not to upset her.)

Peter:
(hand outreached/ palm down) Hey, hey, hey... shh..

(Lizzy looks afraid and backs up as far as she can go on her hospital bed, hitting a monitor and pulling at her IV. She winches in pain.)

Lizzy:
What is going on?!
(looks determined)
Where am I?

Olivia:
Boston General Hospital. You have a couple broken ribs and your hip is badly bruised. The doctors here think you may have been hit by a car and left here.

Lizzy:
No. Where am I?
(she points to Walter)
What dose he do?

Olivia:
He's with me. Dr. Bishop works for the FBI.

Walter:
(Walter seems focused and eager)
How do you think you know us?

Lizzy:
Your my Grandfather who died two years ago and(to Peter) your my dad but your so young! (shanks head) No. This can't be real. What drug have you given me? How are you doing this?

Peter:
We haven't given you anything. Nothing but pain medication, I'm sure.
(he gets closer to her and looks in her eyes. Her eyes are the same color as his own. A thought hits him.)
What year is it?

Lizzy:
It's... I can't remember.

Peter:
Who is the President?

Lizzy:
I don't know.

Peter:
How old are you?

Lizzy:
(visibly upset and becoming angry)
I don't know! I know what you are trying to do but I don't know! Everything is just gone. (she looks down at Peter's hand) I can't think of anything to place what year it is.

Peter:
You asked where you were. Why?

Lizzy:
Because if your my father, you know that this is not the only universe.

Walter's Lab : later that day

Enter on our team pondering the inconceivable, of course.

Walter:
We need to get a sample of her DNA. Test it and then we will know if she is lying.

Olivia:
Do you really think she could, what... be from the future?

Peter:
If you would have ask me that three years ago? No. But after everything that has happened? This wouldn't be the strangest thing to happen.

Walter:
But if it's true. Why? Why would they bring her here, to us?

Peter and Olivia look at each other.

Peter:
She must have been sent to us for a reason, perhaps for protection. I would think that the last place you would look for someone would be the past.

Olivia:
But who would she need protection from?

Walter:
I don't think that is something we can find out without the girl. Peter, she dose seem to resemble you. If she is your future daughter, perhaps you sent her here.

Peter:
How? Why?

Walter:
Well, I don't mean you sent her here yourself. But if she was in danger, you said it yourself. The past would be the last place you would look for her.

Peter:
Sometimes, I think to myself. This is all just a dream that I will wake up from.

Olivia:
From what we can tell, the Observers only observe unless they need to correct something, right?

(Walter and Peter nod in agreement.)

Olivia:
So, for some reason she was sent here.
( Olivia pulls her phone from her pocket dials and speaks to someone from FBI headquarters)
I need to have a patient placed in my care.

Well coming from you that is sure a compliment! :o

I am kind of posting them as if each "break" is when we would break for commercial. So after the break we should get to see some more light hearted moments between Lizzy and Walter.
To me she has a bit of Walter in her. Very ecentric but to a point, and very much like Peter too! She defently posesses his badassary! Maybe the doors should be a little worried with these two around! :confused0066:

Do any of the readers have anything that they would like to see?
Any moments you would like played out?
Anyone wondering the hows and the whys?
Your input my be helpful! :happy15:

Since I assume you have the story planned out, I'm not going to ask anything from you other that you keep the good work.:happy15:

Undetermined future: Bishop Residence

Enter on sweating glass of brandy on an end table. A hand reaching for it, this is the only view we see. In the background we see the setting of a living room with a sleeping dog on the floor. It is quiet and the only thing heard is the ice clanking in the glass. The camera slowly circles around to show an aged Peter. Graying hair, and a heavy brow. This, a now lonely man. No Olivia, No Walter...

Peter takes in a breath and picks a photo up from beside himself. Another person's presence is made known.

Shadowed figure:
It would all be over if you just gave me the girl.

Peter:
(not looking at the man, only at the photo)
Her name is Elizabeth.

Shadowed figure:
You both could be safe.

Peter:
None of that is true. You betrayed my trust long ago.

Shadowed figure:
Seems like only days to me.

Peter finally stands up and lunges for the man. Once he has him up against the wall, collar in his fists; he looks Walternate in the eye.

Peter:
She's your granddaughter!
(shakes Walternate violently)

Walternate:
(smiling)
Son, all you have to do is come with me. Like I said, you... the girl...
(laughs to himself)
even the dog... Come back with me and everyone will be safe.

Peter:
She is not a weapon!
I, am not a weapon!

Walternate:
let go of me.

Peter releases him and backs up. Sways a bit from the alcohol. Then looks back to Walternate.

Walternate:
I have found a way to this time. How hard can it be to find the girl.

A border collie comes up to walternate and gives a low growl. It is the household pet of the Bishop's.

Walternate:
Cute.

Walternate leaves though the front door, closing it behind him. Somehow he has not only crossed universes but traveled thru time. Peter looks down at the dog. The dog give a upward stare, and slumps to the floor. Peter looks angry and then punches his fist trough the wall that he held Walternate up against. He punches again, and again. He drops to the floor in tears. Camera pulls out slowly as the the dog slowly approaches Peter.)

End scene

Enter

Bishop Residence: Living Room/ Walter's Half Bedroom

Enter on Lizzy sitting on a couch at the Bishop's present day home. She sits alone, tapping her foot and holding a glass bottle of root beer.

Peter enters with a smile. He is not sure if he believes her but for Peter, being the nice guy is plan A.

Peter:
(sits next to Lizzy)
How's the root beer?

Lizzy doesn't say anything, just sits looking anywhere but at Peter.

((Side note:Actress should have a similar look to Peter. Long dark hair, very similar eyes. Comedic with an angst-y smart-ass attitude but also believable at heart warming moments.))

Without noticing, Both Peter and Lizzy share mannerisms. Both sit silent until Walter walks in.

Walter:
Did something happen?
Has the root beer gone flat?

Both Peter and Lizzy look down for a moment and smile.

Lizzy:
The root beer is fine, Walter. Thank you.

Walter:
Well good. I could fix up something if your hungry?

Peter:
(gets up)
No Walter, that's Okay. We have to go met Olivia at the Lab.

Peter looks over his shoulder at Lizzy, realizing that she may need a hand up and offers one.

Peter:
Here.

Lizzy takes it trying to mask her pain, she smiles.

Lizzy:
Thanks.

Peter watches as she walks to the door, favoring one side. Lizzy looks up at Walter. Walter gives an honest smile back. She lights up a bit and smiles honestly back. Camera ends on Peter as he looks as though he has a light bulb moment. She must have been or will be close to Walter. Does he believe her?

End Scene/ cut to Lab

Walter's Lab: Later that Day

Enter on Astrid looking a bit amazed yet composed.

Astrid:
Peter, really?

Peter:
We'll see. Walter is running a DNA test against myself and the girl.

Astrid:
But if it's true... Why is she here?

Peter:
A very good question.

Enter Olivia carrying manilla folders and a serious expression.

Olivia:
Nothing.

Peter:
Well, she seems harmless enough.

Lizzy looks to Peter. She is very serious and hasn't said much since she was pick up from the hospital.

Lizzy:
I'm not harmless.

Everyone but Walter seems taken aback. Perhaps he already assumed as much.

Lizzy looks around at all of them.

Lizzy:
I don't know how I know but things are coming back... in pieces.

Olivia:
Why do you think that?

Lizzy:
I remember doing something bad.
(She thinks on it)
My dad was very upset; he yelled at Walter for it.

Walter:
What was it that I did?

Lizzy:
I don't remember.

Peter:
(A bit skeptical)
You don't remember because the memory is gone? Taken?

Lizzy:
(with a little attitude)
No. I was very young.

Lizzy seems focused on her thoughts and then looks to Walter.

Lizzy:
Do you have anything that could help me remember? Maybe... an enhancer?

Walter:
(Excited a bit with the similar thought.)
A drug?

Peter:
Now, lets wait until the DNA test is through before jumping on the “let's do something crazy” bus.

Walter:
(to Lizzy, enthusiastically)
You know, I have been working on quite the concoction. Maybe later we could..

Peter:
Walter!

Both Lizzy an Walter look at Peter as he kills the buzz.

Lizzy:
(sighs)
When will the test be completed?

Walter:
Within the hour.

Walter begins to look about the lab. Peter and Olivia start to talk about possible scenarios, none of them interest Lizzy. Astrid works at her laptop but keeps glancing up at Lizzy. Lizzy sits quietly watching Walter. She is remembering him in his progression of age. Seeing him as a much older man, she is happy to see him the way he is now.

Walter proceeds to look for something in his office. Lizzy carefully slides from the chair she was sitting in and holds her hip. With a slight give in her step, she heads to the office. Astrid notices but Olivia and Peter are too concerned in their discussion to notice. Astrid gets up and goes to Peter and Olivia.

Astrid:
(Quietly to Peter)
Peter, look.

Peter turns and watches the two in the office.

Cut to the office with Lizzy and Walter.

Lizzy looks at Walter as he rummages though a box.

Lizzy:
What are you looking for?

Walter looks up a little startled but smiles at her.

Walter:
If you are my granddaughter, you might recognize something. I have an item that I could imagine I might give you.

Lizzy:
(Seeing the blue double decker toy car, she picks it up.)
This?

Walter:
(Very pleased. Smiles warmly.)
Yes. Do you know what it is?

Lizzy:
(smiles back)
It's not from here. It's from the other-side. You gave it to me when you first told me about it.

Walter touches her arm warmly.
Lizzy looks sad at his touch.

Lizzy:
Walter...
(She looks up into his eyes)
I miss you.

Walter looks a little sad as well, but gives a reassuring smile.

Walter:
Do you remember what happened to me? How I die?

Peter, who has just stepped in to check on them, waits in the frame of the door.

Peter:
Walter.

Walter:
Peter, let me be. She may remember something.

Lizzy:
(bites at her lip as she thinks back)
I was sitting next to you. We were working on one of our projects well Dad was out. You injected something in my arm... I blackout.

She looks at Peter. Lizzy then looks at Walter, sad.

Lizzy:
I wasn't awake to save you.

She begins to tear up and turns away from everyone.

Lizzy:
That was two years ago.
(She turns back to Walter)
I think you knew what was happening, Walter.

Peter looks to Walter and then Lizzy. He is shocked. He doesn't want to believe that she is who she says she is but the thought still affects him.

Peter:
Come on, the test should be done.

Present day:Lab

Enter on Peter as he sits on a lab stool with his face focused on a piece of paper containing the DNA results. They are positive; Lizzy is his biological daughter. Olivia stands near Peter, waiting for his reaction. Astrid, Walter, and Lizzy are sitting in the office.

Camera goes from Peter to Lizzy. Lizzy is sitting on an old couch with Walter. Astrid waits in the door way.

Lizzy:
He has been sitting there for twenty minutes...

Astrid:
This is a lot for him to take in.

Lizzy:
I time-traveled back in time and had my memory messed with by a strange bald guy. That's a lot to take in.

Astrid looks away with a tight lipped smile.

Lizzy sighs and gets on her feet. She shakes off the pain at her side and replaces it with determination. Both Walter and Astrid look on. Lizzy passes Peter. He looks up and watches her walk by. Olivia is ready to stop her if she heads to the door. But Lizzy stops at the tank.

Lizzy:
Can this make me remember, with the right drugs?

Walter and Astrid have made their way out of the office as well.

Walter:
I'm not sure what has been done to you. However, I might know a method.

Lizzy:
Then let's get to it.

Watching the man that will be her father be so disconnected only makes Lizzy more frustrated.

Lizzy:
(Looking at Peter.)
I want to go home.

Peter:
If you have a plan, Liz, share it.

Olivia looks on and can't help but wonder if this girl is part of her as well. Peter wonders the same. Both do not speak about this shared thought, but it weighs on them. Should a test be run to confirm a DNA match between the two? As much as Olivia wants to know, she can't. Because if that is true, then she most likely died. It is the only thing she can think of. Hearing Lizzy's words from the day before, “He is all I have now.”

Olivia:
(looks from Peter to Lizzy)
Do you have a plan?

Lizzy looks out the dirty window.

Lizzy:
I need to clear my head.
(She takes a deep breath)
I want to be by myself... I would be just outside that window.

Olivia:
Lizzy you ca-

Lizzy cuts Olivia off.

Lizzy:
You can watch me.
(she points to her side)
It's not like I could make it very far.

Peter:
Let her go.

Olivia nods.

Cut to Peter looking out the window watching Lizzy. He wants to keep her safe even if he is not sure who or what may harm her.

Peter:
Why is she here?

Walter:
I wanted to save you.

Peter:
But this is not the same, Walter. What if sending her here changes something? Have thought of that?

Walter:
What I have thought is what a father may to to save his child!

Olivia:
(to Walter)
Peter just wants to understand this.

Walter:
That is what I mean.
(He starts to pace in thought.)
I believe blocks have been placed in her mind to protect her from possibly being simply erased.

Peter:
You mean that not knowing may be keeping her safe... Like say, knowing who her mother is.

Olivia tries to not look startled.

Peter:
(Continues)
Or when it was that she was born. Do you think that that may in turn result in her never being conceived?

Walter:
Precisely!

Astrid:
How? Why?

Walter:
Well, lets say that knowing these facts causes Peter to avoid sex for the duration of the year she would be conceived.
(Peter raises an eyebrow)
That could cause her to never be born.

Peter:
Obviously.

Olivia smirks.

Walter:
For some reason she has been sent to us. To you, son. I believe that it's not what we should not know but what we should that is important. What memories can we unlock that will tell us how to get her back to the future you.

Peter:
(looking at Lizzy outside sitting on the ground, just under a tree.)
She remembers somethings that she is not telling us.

Olivia:
You think she is hiding something?

Peter:
Yes. Something she wants to keep secret. I can tell.

Cut to Lizzy outside.

She thinks about running. No. She would not get very far. When she closes her eyes, Lizzy Keeps seeing herself as a child. Dancing on the feet of her father, both Happy. Both Laughing. Is he even alive? What has happened?

Lizzy closes her eyes again and fights off tears.

Peter's feet enter the frame beside her and he bends down. He sits next to her.

Peter:
Considering everything, your holding up rather well.

Lizzy:
Thanks.

Peter smiles.

Peter:
You can't be more that twenty.

Lizzy:
(looking at Peter with a raised brow)
What?

Peter:
And I'm guessing that your named after your grandmother, my mother.

Lizzy:
yeah?

Lizzy lets her guard slip down a little.

Lizzy:
Twenty, huh? I think I feel about that.
(she pushes a polite smile)

Peter:
What is it? What do you think of all this?

Lizzy:
Other then crazy? I think that maybe I did something that hurt someone. And I miss my dad.

Peter:
Why do you think that?

Lizzy:
Because Walter used Cortexiphan on me when I was a little girl.

Undetermined future: While Walter conducts treatments on a young Lizzy

Lizzy is about four or five.

Walter looks much like he dose in the present, only slightly more gray.

Walter:
Now, sweetheart, I want you to think about something that you want.

Lizzy:
A dog!

Walter smiles and lightly laughs.

Walter:
Good. Now, to get that dog you need to think hard about how you can get it.

Lizzy:
Okay, Grandpa.

Walter:
(Adjusts the IV drip.)
Now, where are you?

Lizzy:
Outside.

Walter:
Where outside?

Lizzy:
The park.

Walter:
Good. Do you see the dog you want?

Lizzy:
Oh yes! He is playing with a ball!

Walter:
Make the ball come to you; the dog will follow it. Then you will make the dog yours.

Cut back to present day: Outside of Walter's Lab

Lizzy:
Walter tried to teach me to control myself with determination and will.

Peter is frozen in a state of anger. How could Walter do this again, with his own granddaughter.

Lizzy:
I don't remember it all, but he never scared me or hurt me. Walter took care of me a lot. That much I can remember.

Peter:
(Controlling his emotions.)
He experimented on you.

Lizzy looks amused.

Lizzy:
You helped him most times. You do it now.

Peter:
What we do here is entirely different. I can't see myself experimenting on my own child.

Lizzy takes Peter's hand in hers. Peter lets her but he is visibly taken aback.

Lizzy:
You taught me something once.

Peter:
What was that?

Lizzy:
Well, remember how I told Walter I wanted that dog?

Peter nods.

Lizzy:
(Smiles.)
Later that week, you took me to a shelter. I found a dog and you named him Stein, after Einstein. We still have him.

Peter:
That's nice but how dose that have to do with me teaching you anything?

Lizzy:
I'm getting to that.

Lizzy places Peter's hand on her ribcage.

Lizzy:
You could fix me, if you wanted to.
(she looks away from Peter.)
Once, when I was around 6, I fell out of a tree and broke my arm. You came running out of the house and scooped me up into your arms. I felt so small and could taste the tears in my mouth. But as you held me, I felt better. I looked down at my arm as you held it in your hand and the pain was gone. Not only the pain but it was no longer broken.

Peter:
Perhaps it was never broken.

Lizzy:
Perhaps. But I don't think so.
(She gives a sly Bishop smirk.)

Peter rolls his eyes.

Peter:
What dose this have to do with the treatments and the dog?

Lizzy:
A few years later, Stein got hit by a car. He was covered in blood and his only movement was his chest. I held him in my lap and just thought to myself, “I can't lose you”, over and over. You tried to pull me away from the dog, but I wouldn't let go. Within a few minutes, our dog was on his feet again.

Peter:
Your saying you willed it to live?

Lizzy:
You don't seem that surprised.

Peter thinks of James Heath.

Peter:
I've seen it with other Cortexiphan children.

Lizzy:
Well thanks for bursting my suspense bubble.

Peter laughs and smiles at Lizzy. Lizzy smiles back.

Lizzy:
You don't know how to fix me do you?

Peter:
Sorry, no.

Lizzy:
I know you are my dad, but your not him yet. I can't imagine what my father is going through. If he is even alive... Somehow I feel like this is my fault.

Peter stands up and helps Lizzy to stand as well. Peter hesitates, but gives into his nature. He embraces the girl in his arms and gives her the comfort she needs.

Peter:
I'm sure that I am fine. Probably just as worried as you. That's why we need to find a way to get you back safely.

Lizzy sets her jaw as she thinks. She can't fight anymore; she must get home.

Lizzy:
Lets see if Walter has come up with anything.
And Peter?

Peter:
Yes?

Lizzy:
After I fixed Stein, I was sick for almost a week.
But after that, I just became even stronger.

Cut to Lab: Much later that night

Astrid and Olivia have gone home.

Lizzy is asleep on the couch in Walter's Office.

Peter sits with the girl in his view as he also watches Walter working out a plan. Walter is manipulating the same device used in S01E17.

Peter is almost about to fall asleep when September enters the Lab. Peter sits up more alert. Walter also takes notice and stands up.

September:
How is the girl.

Walter:
She is fine. Are you here to take her?

September:
If the matter is corrected, I will not need to. She will, just be returned.

Peter:
What?

September:
(To Peter.)
You will tell me that she is important. This is the only way to affect the outcome without destroying the subject.

Peter:
You took her memories, how can we affect the outcome?

September:
I only removed those which could harm her. Prevent her birth.

September looks to Walter.

September:
If she is safe, my job is done for now.

September exits and Peter gets up to follow but is stopped by Walter.

Walter:
Peter, we must let him go. You know as well as I do that those are the only answers we will get out of him tonight.

Peter gives Walter a frustrated look. Then he looks back to the sleeping Lizzy.

Peter:
We need to figure this out.
(He looks back to Walter.)
What did he mean by she will just be returned?

Walter:
(shakes head)
I'm not sure, it could be a number of things.

Peter goes into the office and bends down next to Lizzy.
He takes his hand and places it on her side.

Peter:
I do wish I could fix you.

Lizzy shifts slightly in her sleep.

Peter takes his other hand and brushes hair away from her face. As he looks at her sleeping face, he wonders what will happen. How could anything they do here change what will happen to her.

Peter gets to his feet and heads back to Walter.
The camera stays in the office with Lizzy well Peter walks off in the background.
