When oh when is Olivia going to start using her powers. If I had powers, I'd sit down and practice all day until I could do whatever I wanted with them!!!??

Come on writers, it is about time that all that human experimentation made someone be able to do some cool stuff (or at least jump between universes on a whim!).

I'm hoping she'll use her powers next episode. They made it sound like she was going to try to come home, but you can never know the way Fox does promos.

She used her powers twice in episode 3.05 "Amber 31422".

Down the line, she will have to both discover the extent of her abilities and learn to master them, which will take time, evidently.

Plus, she hasn't really had time to practice, what with being trapped in the AU and believing she was someone else. :P

She's lucky her cortexiphan-induced power didn't blow her head up. Which has led me to wonder why she doesn't have problems. The other cortexiphan kids ended up with problems after going to the red universe and ultimately dead. We all speculate (I think fairly correctly) that Peter has First Person DNA; could be likewise that Olivia does also?

The other cortexiphan kids all used their powers the night before they crossed over which left them drained. Nick and Olivia were the only ones not affected by the crossing.

I think all of them may have some First Person DNA; Walter's initial description of Cortexiphan was that it worked on "predisposed children". There was never an explanation of what the predisposition was.

Olivia has been called "the strongest" of the children several times. I guess that's why she didn't have more trouble after being activated by Jones, though it did coincide with more of a "lock-down" of her personality. James' death after the crossover to the AU was explained by his over-use of his ability the night before. Just why Sally was having trouble was not evident. Nick was doing just as well as Olivia, except for not being able to use his ability to force people to do things; he died because he was shot protecting Sally.

I think Olivia needs to sit down with the MD people who were training Nick, etc., but I'm not sure she'll want to.

I thought Nick used his powers the night before too?
I wonder why he wasn't drained.

I think part of it is draining but part is also about their ability to control their powers.

Nick Lane lost his power to influence people's mood. Tess and James lost control of their powers (heating up and uncontrolled tumor growths).
