    9!

A fantastically well written episode. Walter, Olivia, and Peter all get closure with their internal doubts and are now ready to face the upcoming confrontation between the two universes.

Parlaying Nimoy's reluctance to act any further, use that as a lever to entice him with an animated voice only performance, and at the same time show the mental landscape of Olivia's mind in the broadest way possible, was so clever.

The only bits that felt off were the Nina/elevator scene and the transparent cliffhanger line delivered by Olivia at the end.

Also, one of the funniest Fringe episodes ever.

My full review can be found at FringeTV.

I wondered the SAME exact thing. It doesn't flow or make any sense at all...

Then how in the blue hell did she remember the walter and bell experience all of a sudden now?? I dunno, it just din make sense to me....perhaps I missed something or maybe it was just convenience writing.
I've watched it over again...twice actually. I tried giving it a chance and still give it a 2. I'm really not impressed with the unoriginality of the episode, the animation was a bit much (and not as well-done as it could have been), and there are just so many things that don't seem to add up or reflect the Fringe we all know and love as Fringies.

Memories are sometimes strange like that, especially childhood memories. Think of your earliest memories, chance are its a jumble of isolated memories both important and unimportant and often random. We forget a lot of stuff in our childhood many of which should be important to us. I remember playing with sand in kindergarten but nothing else. I only remember one of my elementary school teachers and I can't recall any of their faces. I vividly remember the day my father died, but I can't recall any of the talks I surely had with him.

So Olivia remembering her father, but not the Jacksonville trials and Walter would not be unusual.

i voted it worst ever I'm afraid. mainly due to the animation which I hated. it didn't convey the real emotion in the storyline..Finally, we get to see how much Peter has come to know Olivia, but the really emo stuff is done through badly drawn boy and so all the meaning was lost for me. I thought the live action performances were great especially JJ - though felt they made Broyles character ridiculous which I was very uncomfortable with. Glad the stupid soul magnets storyline is done...this middle section of season 3 has been a real disappointment.

    Lost 2.0

When the series is not renewed next year Fringe will have amounted to nothing: the rest of the series ruined by the fiasco at the end of season 3.

    I'm out.

I will be, too, I'm afraid. I can't sit by and watch Abrams ruin yet another excellent series.

Too bad that Abrams has nothing to do with Fringe anymore whatsoever.

His involvement went as far as the first season; it's Pinkner and Wyman's baby now. And that goes for Lost as well; if anyone is to be held accountable for what can be perceived as the ruining of Lost, it's Darlton (who have been the heads of that show since S2).

For what it's worth, many people felt that Fringe had lost itself back in 2.19 Brown Betty, the progenitor of these tangential drug-induced episodes. Perhaps it would be best to view Season 3 retrospectively once it all ends, rather than to condemn it now.

Just some food for thought, I suppose.*shrug*

This episode was FANTASTIC. Shows how Fringe is not afraid to be different. The animation was a brilliant addition. Too many folks seem to want Fringe to be a staid little love story between Peter and Olivia, or a standard sci fi show following predicatble lines. What makes Fringe stand out is the willingness to go to different places and try new things. People who are leaving the show because of this aren't truly fans of the show or the concepts therein. Go watch Dancing With the Stars or American Idol..then you're brain won't be too challenged and you can smile while drooling on your shirt.
