maybe it's someone that Fauxlivia always feared that will kill her. when her memories passed in Olivia, that passed in as well. so Olivia thinks that it is about her
Here's a shot in the dark: X is the Latin number for "Ten".
The tenth month of the year is "October".
"October" is a previously unseen Observer who plans to kill Olivia (either by sending
an assassin a la "August", or doing it himself).
Somewhat spoilerish up to 4.09:
Before S4 and the S3 finale, I long suspected that this was a possibility. That way the writers could throw out a red herring that was still in canon and kind of cool. But only kind of cool because I still have very seriously misgivings regarding that whole B-lymphocyte memory cell B.S. explanation for the actual implantation of Altlivia's memories. But hey, if the cells that govern your immune system suddenly become nueron networks...well then...I guess Mr. X being responsible for killing Altlivia makes sense.
Plus...this ties in with the Possibly Peter theory. After all...so far Peter's managed to kill both Olivias in the old timeline (inadvertently and through no real fault of his own) prematurely (everyone dies...not everyone dies in the prime of their lives)

So much happened here. And so much is about to.
This is a good point. Hair and eye color is not as predicable as high school genetics lecture let on. Peter's eyes aren't a pure blue or green. And even Olivia's, while green, have a golden tint to them. So neither of them have textbook eye colors.
I will say, though, that Fringe has made several references to eye color and eye genetics before, not to mention eyes. So perhaps we SHOULD be reading into this eye color business.

This is the molecular design of the Nanite that Walter discovered under the microscope (4.21).
I'm late to the Fringe party, having just watched the seasons back to back, but discuss! The association with the
X on the t-shirt of the Mr.X cannot be trivial.
Also, this is taken from Wikipedia:
Because the season finale did not resolve the plotline of Olivia and the man from the blimp, Pinkner commented in a post-finale interview that "It’s definitely still in play. Without being too spoilery, there are things you think you have time to explore in any given season, but don’t. But yes, we are very interested in that moment and the implications of that."
Edit
The season finale in question is Season 3, not 4.
Sorry for the spam, last post.
I haven't found this link on the forums yet but I think it sums up the Mr.X mystery and is rather canon.
