    Tailchaser's Song - Tad Williams

    "Where dark woods hide secrets,
And mountains are fierce and bold,
Deep waters hold reflections, Of times lost long ago." - Julie Fowlis

I read the book Williams co-wrote with Nina Kiriki Hoffman, "Child of An Ancient City" years ago and it was an ingenious
take on "Arabian Nights" fantasy. I still remember it fondly.

"The Space Merchants" by C.M. Kornbluth and Frederick Pohl. Written
in the 1950s, this dystopian future depicts a society dominated by unethical
advertising corporations, given to such dirty tricks as putting drugs in
foodstuffs to get the customers hooked. Full of clever satirical
digs at the less pleasant side of advertising, still relevant today.
