I have no idea what the hell just happened
I'm not sure I liked it.
The first half I thought was just boring
The second half I still need to wrap my head around
This thread is only for aspects of 3.22 "The Day We Died" that has left you feeling disappointed. We believe that people have the right to enjoy Fringe whilst not necessarily loving everything about a particular episode.
There is, of course, a line between flaming, bashing and abuse. These things we won't tolerate. But you are, of course, allowed to say if you were disappointed by certain aspects and explain your reasons why in a constructive and mature way.
Feel free to stop by the main discussion thread to share your overall thoughts, or post new threads for specific tangents!

Only complaint is lack of Nina Sharpe and Lincoln Lee.
The big shocking ending (that they were hyping up) kind of just trailed off.
They just left us standing in the hangar with Peter vanishing.
Leaves a lot more questions for next season. Also soooo much of the mythology has not been resolved this season at all (the season seemed very transitionary). I certainly hope they'll get to it in S4, but still...
It seemed more interrupted and less polished than before.

A little disappointed that I expected Olivia's (future) death and the at least partial merger, but I guess I shouldn't spend so much time looking at spoilers.
I do wish they had been able to stretch this episode out over two time slots, maybe combined some earlier episodes to make this possible. There was just so much more detail that could have been delved into. But I know the producers will get us there.

If Peter wasn't EVER there, then NONE of what we saw over the past 3 years was real. I want to take a shower. I feel all dirty.
A meh finale.
Very unpolished, as stated above. I just didn't buy the forlorn attitudes of everyone in the future. I didn't even buy Walternates pure avarice. Walter had me feeling sorry him ... too much.
And the ending was very predictable I thought, and once Peter vanished, I was like ... "oh yeah ... that makes sense."
Although I liked some of the last epis for their speed and entertainment, I seriously don't have much interest in even theorizing all that much about Fringe anymore. Everything seems so dumbed down, and this epi kind of went to the dumbed-down section of town I think![]()

Too many questions that is making the plot too unrealistic. I know it's a sci fi show and everything but when you pull a stunt like that.... the main character was a figment of our imagination?
I have to specifically agree with this statement (though I agree with your entire take). In the past we've had a set of pseudo-science and character motivations that were somewhat logical and in context. Now, we are entering the realm of "anything goes" in many ways and there is really no fun in speculating in that. It's a fruitless effort (none of the past mythology was advanced).
I can still harp on the fact that season 3 was very transitionary (man, was there a lull in the middle) and did very little to explain the mythology or explore characters (Josh Jackson himself said he was dissapointed that we won't get to explore Peter's background more in S4, and now I see why). Especially in contrast to S2 which had great focus on character development and a coherent plot-line.
They way they will pick up S4 and resolve issues (and if they will jump between timelines/realities, etc.) is anyone's guess, it's pointless to even speculate on it. This finale wasn't even a cliffhanger as much as it was an pause in exploring the new direction, and interruption in this rapid change of course if you will.
