Peter vs. Walter
So Peter was willing to undo what he did in the past to save the future Olivia which results in him not being remembered by anyone at all. Is he repeating the same path that Walter took in 1985, is this another mistake??
And also, Walternate released Fauxlivia and told her to turn the machine off..like she has something to do with it. In fact, I thought only Our Olivia could do it because she is special..

he released her because he saw her with in the picture that the sam guy had. And he used her to teleport ( i guess) But for the initial teleportation of the 2 liberty islands is Peter and Olivia not fauxlivia and its all a great big cluster**** of mind****

I think Walternate was just desperate and grasping at straws. Although Cortexiphan was recreated Over There when Olivia was held captive, I'm thinking Walternate believes (or hopes) it was something that Olivia's mind naturally produced. With time running out & the drawing showing both Peter & Olivia, I think Walternate was desperately hoping that his Olivia was special & connected to the machine/"prophecy", too. He was wrong, of course.
I took the Pepsi challenge and I lost.
I think Walternate saw the picture, and either mistook the image for Fauxlivia, or thought that both had the connection.

Remember, Walternate also didn't know why Olivia had the power to cross over.
I think Walternate is misguided and is dabbling with things he knows nothing about.
He knew about Cortexiphan, though, and probably already deduced through experimenting with it earlier in the season that it is how Olivia could cross universes. I think it was still a bit of a stretch to say that Fauxlivia would be as connected to the machine as Olivia...THAT IS assuming that it's all due to the Cortexiphan. Maybe Olivia is special in another way that we don't know about yet, which would be why Walternate wanted to use her to connect with the machine in the end. I doubt she would have willingly, though. ^_~
I think Walternative wanted her to try to do it, but she never had the chance to do it, and I think she couldnīt have done it. After all, she never used her "powers" (if she has them). I donīt think Oliviaīs powers were given by Cortexiphan, but it allowed her to use them sooner, to realize she did have those powers, so she had more time to learn to use them. But Fauxlivia never knew about them, so I think she couldnīt have used them anyway.
I must to say I loved the whole Walternate vs. Peter, and how Walternate killed Olivia to how Peter how much it hurts to lose those who you love. It was interesting in an angsty way.
