CLUES AND EASTEREGGS
"One Night In October"
Welcome to the clues and eastereggs thread for 4.02 "One Night In October".
This is a bit like an treasure hunt for the various clues that are intentionally (or otherwise) built into each and every episode of Fringe.
The clues are mostly visual and provide fun hints and major clues to the bigger picture. If you'd like to play along, please do so by sharing your observations in this thread!
Here are some ideas on what to look out for:
The Observer - usually hidden somewhere in the background of EACH episode.
The blue lights
The "Next Episode Clue" - each episode contains clues alluding to the nature of the following weeks episode.
Any other clues, shout-outs.
*If you want to check out last seasons clues and eastereggs, have a look through our clues library or the various episode forums.
*Please note. If you know for a fact what the next episode clue is because you've seen the trailer for the next episode or because you have knowledge of upcoming info, you MUST use spoiler tags (for text) as not everyone watches the trailers. This thread is for speculation.

did the glyphs spell out LIMBUS?
Indeed they did. The light before the AltLiv/Olivia talk was orange-red. In the flashback, Marjorie found an apple with a fetus in the seed.

I don't know the glyphs, but if it's limbus (and I don't mean to be condescending in anyway, but I don't know if it's common knowledge)...that's probably a reference to the corneal limbus, which borders the white of your eye and the lens. It may be associated with rejuvenation: it's a common site for cancers, which I think indicates that it's the part of the eye with the fastest cell turnover or basal cells.
Even though it's almost always used (in my experience) with the eye... it is may just be indicating a border or bridge area or the outside of of something. The fringe!
So much happened here. And so much is about to.
Indeed. One definition for limbus is that between the cornea and sclera. However this technical term probably originates in that of limbo, since it is a border or transient territory.
I have found other definitions for limbus as "limbo" so I think this is still a sort of call out to Peter being trapped in Limbo, as the phrase goes. Limbo (Latin limbus, edge or boundary, referring to the "edge" of Hell).
Remember, the glyph codes refer to the episode they are found within. It's no ROMAD, but I'm still sticking to the LIMBUS as limbo, or transitional region of the cornea as a metaphor for Peter being trapped in a border world.
