i wasn't 100% sure on the dates regarding the car, but in my posts i've also mentioned the room @ the jacksonville school with objects from the other side

regardless, Peter/Walter wasn't the first things to cross over

this is what i said would be the easiest way to write the story

by simply indicating that when the machine(s) were activated the result was the bridge

no need for non existent people to have anything to do with it

they reached the truce on their own when they realized they were all standing in the same room together

Doctor Who said it best Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey.
The writers don't have to explain how Peter bleeds through time.
They just have to say the observers say its impossible...built a suitcase cathode ray tube Peter bomb and never explode it...*BOOM* Peter can come back because October never blew up the suitcase bomb to erase Peter.

Wait just a moment, I remember Observer can travel in time. Episode Butterfly Effect explains it. So what if September or any other observer could interferee with September's interferee could save the entire timeline without damaging both worlds? ..Too easy?

Well, Olivia is the reason that Walternate figured out that there was another Earth. She's not the cause of ALL the trouble but she is the reason Walternate figured out what happened to his son.
