I think I heard Peter say Olivia when the blue thing was at the root beer float diner, around when they were on the street and the car came.
Hi! First post, but I've lurker for awhile.
I've read reviews, recaps and message boards and I can't find anything about this at all!
When the ball of energy appears at Little's apartment, I swear I can hear someone say, "I'm adjusting the frequency!". It's a male voice, not Walter or Little.
It's as if it's spoken from far away, which leads me to believe it's someone from wherever Peter is that's speaking.
Can those of you that recorded the episode go back to that bit and have a listen? I want to see if anyone else hears what I heard!
(Although I did play it for my boyfriend and he heard it too!)
I think I heard Peter say Olivia when the blue thing was at the root beer float diner, around when they were on the street and the car came.
I just rewatched that part twice, turned it up and closed my eyes. Sorry, I don't hear it. All I hear is Little saying "I have nothing to do with this." Is what you hear before or after that line?
Ha, well that was easier than I expected. The phrases do have a very similar cadence, I can see how they can get mixed up.
From another perspective, I thought I heard the same thing, but at the beginning when Olivia and Astrid are in the apartment. Walter reaches for a dial, and I think I said to myself, "I am adjusting the frquency," perhaps anticipating the dialogue. But it wasn't there.
Subliminal sentences are being added to the episode!![]()

This is crazy because I could have sworn I heard Peter say "I'm adjusting the frequency!" at some point. I don't know where or when but that phrase is not new! Definitely subliminal!
And if Peter had at some point said that, then that leads to the question, Where the heck was he??
Which leads to theories of mine!
1. The voice comes from Peter in the future (where the machine was supposedly built). This might be when the machine is first tested.
2. Peter is stuck in time. Almost as if everyone was frozen in time except for him and the Observers. Meaning that Peter is wayyyy to fast to see. So Peter tries to fix things using the machine to try and slow himself down enough to talk to Walter and Olivia. This could possibly explain the effect before cause, a jump in time when Peter turns on the machine. A form of Astral projection with his mind.![]()
