naw, if you were a real FANATIC you'd 've already had all the blurays and marathoned em 20+ times already![]()
Went to the store and they had a sale on the first season of Fringe and the second season of True Blood and both were in Blu Ray. Well I had the first season of True Blood so I went for the first season of Fringe. Got home proceeding to play it on the computer, nothing wouldn't work. Next tried the DVD player came up No Disc...dawns on me that I need a Blu Ray player. So being the Fringe Fanatic that I am I went out and bought one. I now have to get all the other seasons in Blu Ray.![]()

I'm such a Fanatic that I get the iTunes season pass so I can have the episode Immediately the day after it airs to watch 21 more times.
I was able to buy a quality yet cheap DVI to HDMI cord and now my TV is either a Mirror Monitor, or literally a second screen (like when you see in TV/Film when there is a Huge Monitor that is actually made up of several smaller monitors. I can choose to have the extra monitor be to the left, right, top, bottom etc. So if it's on the left and I move my mouse to the edge of the left side, it will appear on the right side of the other screen.)
The downside,I like to take screenshots all the time. Especially to make FanArt or to add it to a Post etc.
And Unfortunately (unless someone knows otherwise) you can't screenshot iTunes Digital Media, even with 3rd Party Software. I have VLC and it allows me to screenshot DVDs that if played with the Apple DVD player program would copy protect against a SS attempt. And unfortunately iTunes media can't be opened by VLC.
P.S.
I could really use some Outside The Box Thinking on this screenshot issue.![]()
...Euhm if you are a true Fringe Fanatic you have the DVD's and the Blu-Rays {*cough*}
Seriously: nope you're quiet normal *giggles*!

Well, when you have to pay bills for hospitals and my doctor I've gotten below a 100 dollars, it's a big deal for me. I have to watch for those sales. My sneaky ways of getting the DVD rips is by dling from UsNt. I do wish I could buy them when they first come out it cost that gets me, so I have to bide my time, but I get there in the end.![]()
well, you will have an opportunity
lowest i've seen those blurays for were when amazon had s1 & s2 for $27, season 3 is currently $35
blackfriday-holidays etc are approaching,,,deals are a'coming
Don't give me any Ideas. lol
I'm the type of Fanatic that has the iTunes season pass so I can watch it again and again and again. But I don't buy the individual blu-ray/dvd season sets, I wait till the Complete Series Boxset comes out. Cause when it a show like Fringe where I'm talking about it on a Fanmade Forum made for talking only about Fringe. I just gotta have that Special Boxset when it's all said and done (watch it over and over, and all the bonus stuff).
Unfortunately the boxsets can sometimes be a might unpredictable.
Sometimes the ones with the best content are a simple basic design like the season sets, except somehow, I don't know how but they manage to make it look Fugly.

[I didn't have anything in particular in mind I just randomly picked something that popped up on Amazon]
Speaking of Amazon, it drives me crazy sometimes. Because it's essentially "Wallmart.com" and I only use that phrase because the concept of Wallmart is well known. I think Amazon is on a whole different level than Wallmart, pfft I bet Amazon laughs in Wallmarts face at parties, Best Buy whores themselves out by having the best preorder incentive [I Hate what the Preorder Bonus idea has turned in to] and K-Mart just get's ignored, because nobody likes him.

-----^Amazon, Wallmart and Best Buy on their way out to plunder so they can sell it cheaply online.
So as Evil as it is, you can't Ignore that the prices really are just so freaking cheap. But the prices and special bonus stuff is always changing (more dramatically and faster lately) so much that shopping on Amazon becomes like playing the stock market. You gotta make judgement calls on whether it's a good idea to buy it now or later, and I can't help but notice (there's an ad for it on the forum) that Fringe Season 3 DVD is the same price as the Blu-ray set (maybe $2 off?). While that's just kinda odd, the obvious move to make for the more "seasoned amazon shopper" is to wait for the Season 3 boxset price to drop if you have the patience.
Just verified with my roommate who has iTunes videos. If you remote desktop from another computer, you can screenshot from that other computer. Just have the show paused where you want to screenshot. There may be additional ways. A program called FRAPS has an option to capture video or screenshots of your desktop. And it supports the "Aero" mode. So it may be taking the screenshot directly from the directx buffering, thus could work with digital content. I unfortunately have FRAPS, but not any digital scrambled content like what iTunes does. So I could not verify.
