And with the heavy ceasarian references this episode.... You could be onto something.
....Now we just have to figure out what the painting is of! XD
That painting in Broyles office (the one of the Roman architecture looking building) has to be a major clue. Something about it will not leave me alone. I could be wrong, but I don't think it is there by chance.
You can see it behind Olivia in his office several times (like we are supposed to notice it) when she is talking to him before she goes to Germany.
Any thoughts on what it is?

Interesting. I agree it looks of Roman design. Hope someone can offer some insight.
The picture reminds me of the Duomo (Dome) in Florence by Brunelleschi. Also the tower behind it in the back left corner could possibly tbe the Campanile, or belltower?:
Because what you see really depends on what you're looking for.
Roman is a good thought. When I saw the picture my initial reaction was that it is middle eastern. Domes and arches are prominent in Islamic architecture as well as Roman, and the warmth of the colors instantly made me jump to the conclusion it was in a desert.
The octagonal design of the dome is distinctive. I don't think it's the Dome in Florence, because that dome has white lines separating each section, whereas the painting doesn't. Not to mention, it doesn't seem to me that the doors nor the area under the dome match.
The closest match I could find is the Manila Cathedral, especially this drawing:
I have no clue as to what importance the Manila Cathedral would have for Fringe, although it is a cathedral that's been rebuilt 7 times.

The more interesting aspect IMO was the octagonal design I mentioned above. It seems da Vinci used octagons a lot.

I thought it was the Dome by Brunelleschi. He's the one who set the classic rules of perspective.
I thought about Bramante's Tempietto too, but it doesn't match.
hmmm, maybe.... :I have no clue as to what importance the Manila Catherdral would have for Fringe, although it is a cathedral that's been rebuilt 7 times.
Acting upon the instruction of His Eminence Cardinal Rosales, the Manila Cathedral-Basilica (MCB) made the collection for St. Peter’s Pence. This is the Holy Father’s Fund used to help victims of calamities, natural or man-made
Maybe also because of the archbishops![]()
Hello guys, this would be my first msg here, I just got signed up searchin for an answer for this very topic,
Could it be a painting of Salomon's Temple in Jerusalem(or an imaginary painting of it from old ages)? anyone agrees or disagrees?
by the way "Dome" was firstly built by Persians before 2000 years ago and then got transfered to other cultures and religios buildings,(this was just about Dome in history of architecture)
