Dream Sequence or Time Displacement?

Is it a dream sequence or..... time jump? Discuss!

Considering it turned from sweet to sour within the sequence - it was a dream.

If you look carefully, Peter is wearing a ring, but it's on his right hand. I'm going with dream.

I think it was a dream, too, because it addressed Peter's fear of Olivia not remembering him along with the possibility that his presence is causing havoc in 'another' world. Now that is the perfect example of a nightmare, not to mention how sweet it started out as (I think the were engaged in this scenario) only to make a huge 180 and frighten him to the point of wakefullness. Not a plesent dream, that's for sure!!!

I think it was a dream full of his subconcious thoughts trying to sort themselves out...
1.it's taken him 3 years to get Olivia- he's not going to give up easily, he doesn't want to let go the idea of being with her. I think the ring represents his 'long haul' approach to his feelings for Olivia.
2. it was perfect and now it's not.
3. he's the problem...i.e. it's not the world he's in that is out of kilter, it's him.
