Fringe is the most intriguing and imaginative show on tv today because of how the show's writers have continued to build on the storyline. Season One's stories led up to a great finale. Season Two picked up right where Season One left off and ran with what I say was the greatest storyline put together for any tv show's season. Season Two ended with a Big Bang Finale. Season Three once again picked up where Season Two left off and ran with another fascinating storyline that continued to build on the show as a whole. Season Three's finale (in my eyes) was a supernova (no, not quite the big bang of season two but very much impressive). I yearned for Season Four to start and when it did, "pop" a champagne cork feeling. Each show of Season Four, I waited for the continuing storyline to be picked up and carried on.

Sorry, I didn't want to get timed out so I split my thread. Anyway, Season Four has not advanced the continuing overall Fringe storyline by more than a few centimeters and we are already at the end of the first part of the season. Granted the previews for the second half of the season hold promise but will they hold the shows audience's attention from the get go or will they advance the storyline only a few centimeters more to the end of Season Four? Do the writers not know how to continue their great storyline streak? Where are the Observers, Where is the alt universe? Where is a story on how Walter got the Book to the past? Where is a story on Astrid (she is the coolest the way she puts up with Walter)? Where is more story on William Bell and Massive Dynamics? So many unanswered areas that can be played upon. I do like the out-of-time-sequence Peter and the story but this I feel is a story to be told later down the line or simultaneously with whats happening in the blue and amber universes (from Season Three). I am very much looking forward to the second half of the season in hope that questions will be answered. And Fox, don't let sports interupt this one, please.

the champers has been very flat apart from one ep in series 4 for me sadly, and I am deeply disappointed. I will probably watch the beginning of next season and see if the writers honour the commitment the viewers have made. I love Peter/Walter together so much, I live in hope!!

I was open to the effect on everyone's life without Peter- but it occurs to me that we already know what that's like...when we met Olivia/ Walter in the pilot, they already didn't have Peter in their lives...and while they were both screwed up, they were certainly more likeable...so this has to be a different and boring unverse...PLEASE WE'RE WITH PETER...LET US OUT!!!!!

I can't be the only person thinking this but maybe the Nina that was injecting Olivia could be a shapeshifter. Anything's possible.
