    Default Most intense Fringe cliffhanger?

    Hey guys -

I just wanted to hear your opinions on what you think have been the most intense cliffhangers throughout the course of FRINGE.
    What do you think?

Since so many Fringe episodes end in cliffhangers, you raise a difficult question.

The cliffhanger that blew my mind has been that of episode 1.15, Inner Child. Here, the "child" is being driven to his new home with Doctor Winick; however, he suddenly sense a presence and looks outside, only to see September staring back.

It was a totally eerie, otherworldly scene; this, coupled with the fact that September hadn't had a prominent appearance since 1.04, made the scene doubly shocking. It's a shame we didn't get any follow through to that scene four seasons later (lol), but the scene itself had a great impression on me when it first aired, and I would even go as far to say that it cemented my status as a hardcore Fringe fan.

    The last episode's!
    The first episodes's!

But seriously... I know John Scott's storyline extended into parts of Season One, but that Pilot cliffhanger was Fringetastic. Also, despite knowing that it's extremely unlikely from a production standpoint, the alternate universes and rewritten timelines only continued to make me wonder about him. It's not that his character was particularly interesting (nor was it supposed to be), but I find his role in the Pattern, the FBI, and Olivia's life to be unignorable.

John Scott, are you still in a fridge at MD? Just wonderin'...
So much happened here. And so much is about to.

I enjoyed John Scott; it's a shame he has not resurfaced in later seasons. He was a really cool guy.

When Olivia gets kidnapped at the end of an episode in S1, "Safe." That was some cliffhanger... far worse than the end of S1 iteself, and comparable to the end of S2 (whe she's held prisoner in the Other Side).

Nothing beats the end of S3 anyway.

    S2E15 Jacksonville. Peter shimmers.

Despite what we already knew about Peter... that cliffhanger was a watershed moment for me. The myth-arc went into hyperdrive - and we went with it.

Peter being erased for sure, did not see that coming. Especially cause we had heard there was going to be a game changing mind&@$# cliffhanger and I still did not see it coming.

I spent the whole summer of 2010 worrying about Olivia, so "Over There Part Two" probably gets the best cliffhanger vote for me.
