The moment I saw the episode's title, the epic music from LOTR when Frodo is trying to throw the ring into the fires of Mount Doom kept repeating in my head. lol. It mainly had to do with the fact that the song is called "The End of all Things."
What does the 5 stars mean on the forum?
I don't think the Observers are related directly to any of the characters. Think about it. Unless something drastic happened to the observers to make them the way they look, it would probably take thousands of years to evolve to what they are like, not to mention the level of tech. It is only on a superficial level that they might be related, like me saying that I am related to a caveman. There isn't any evidence that says that the Observers are even from the Blueverse. September said they were "one of countless possible futures for humanity." If the mentality is that different choices can create multiple universes, then it is possible that they could be from any universe. Their interest in Walter, Peter, and Olivia is related to their interconnectedness with the Machine and what it is capable of. When the Machine can destroy Universes and other next-level ********, they are gonna be watching.
Well, John Noble DID play Denethor, the Steward of Gondor in the LOTR movies, that's the only connection I can think of.Originally Posted by Locke. With the revolver.

The end of the storyline Fringe was building up if the endgame for the show ends up being about Peter and Olivia starting a family?
In all seriousness... If September's reveal was really straightforward and "from which your shared future springs" referred to Henry being born to the wrong Olivia and that then I guess the Observer believes that Peter and Olivia need to have an inter-universe baby with no alternate instead of another baby with no alternate (but Peter's DNA....but that was silly because the DNA could have just as well come from Peter when he was ASLEEP FOR THREE DAYS).
If this is the case, I think it would be cool to see the Observers not get their way. I'd rather see Peter go back the red-verse.
So much happened here. And so much is about to.
