Default Peter is confused not stupid

First peter was stupid for not realizing the Olivia he came back for wasn't his Olivia but now Peter is stupid for what exactly for thinking with his heart and not his "male" impluses? For being confused and wanting to figure things out before he makes a big mistake for being with an Olivia who just happens to have BlueOlivia's memories?

People are so interested in proving Peter wrong but maybe Peter is right?

Either way, peter can never win.

I'm confused. Did someone insinuate that Peter was stupid in this episode (or last)? Quite frankly, I'm also a little confused about whether or not this Olivia is his Olivia. I actually think he's handling things rather well, all things considered.

I don't think he's stupid, he's just not thinking clearly, but he is wrong.

I think he wanted to believe that this Olivia--with BlueOlivia's memories--was actually her so badly that he lost sight of his mission: GETTING HOME. He's not stupid for losing one of many battles of the heart, he's just not willing to lose the war. It showed great strength to make the decision he did at the end of this episode.

But I agree. I really wonder if this IS infact our BlueOlivia and he's somehow working against himself (trying desperately to leave this timeline for "his" when this actually could be HIS timeline).

    Very interesting!!

Glad you're still in the "it's his Olivia" camp, you've been one of my few allies in this war on errorism

I thought it was funny the way September made such a massive hullabaloo about "she needs you" and then sets him on the path to save her and when it's all over he's all like "well clearly you are not who I thought YOU were, good day madam".

What grabbed my attention the most was how much the end of this episode reminded me of the end of Marionette. This episode leads into a lengthy break just like Marionette did, at the end of Marionette Olivia gives Peter an earful and ending with "She's taken everything" (referring to Fauxlivia stealing her identity) and then turns and walks away from Peter.

At the end of this episode Peter says "I'm going Home" and turns his back on Olivia and walks away. Just funny how leading into two different lengthy breaks we have Olivia turning her back on Peter in the first and now Peter turning his back on Olivia.

Just when it seemed people were coming around to the fact that this is still the blueverse this episode comes along and erases all that progress.

I do not understand why people are taking the things Peter says as gospel when its clear that he is misinformed about the circumstances around his disappearance and subsequent reappearance.

YES! But I think this is intentional. Just when it seems like this could be the BlueVerse something comes around and casts doubt on that belief. I still think it is, though.

Cause we are looking at it from Peter's POV and not just from what we , the audience, knows.

I understand why Peter thinks the way he does, I'd probably think the same thing if I were him, but as the audience we have the advantage of knowing more than him so it makes little sense for us to just accept what he says or thinks. You can look at it from Peters pov all you want but you can't deny the info that we have and he doesn't.

I think the writers just want to put another obstacle in the way of Polivia and make us fans who want them together angry. I also am in the camp of thinking this Olivia is Blue Olivia, and that Peter has been home the whole time, he just needs to get Olivia and Walter to remember who he is and their lives together, and then maybe things can go back to normal (meaning like seasons 1-3 before Peter got in the machine). Olivia is remembering, now Walter just needs to, although maybe he has already begun to subconsciously since he felt the need to cook for Peter a couple of episodes ago, and was acting more fatherly towards him. Peter even said this Walter wasn't that different from his own Walter. I have been thinking that Peter is in the right place for a while now, which means that if it's true, Peter just broke his Olivia's heart. ): I will admit I got mad at Peter for rejecting Liv this episode, but I have also gotten mad at Olivia in the past when she has rejected Peter. In both cases it is understandable why the characters feel the way they do, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating if you are a Polivia fan.
