In subject 13 Olivia crosses over and that's how Walternate finds out where Peter is.

Newton's mission was to open a door, which I don't think was necessary since Massive Dynamic had Walter's device.

In season 3 when Olivia was captured Walternate tried to make Olivia think she was Alt Olivia.

I see where you're coming from, I don't want Fringe to suddenly morph into a super power themed program either, but I would like to believe that all of Walter and Bell's work as well as the "soldiers for a coming war" theme hasn't already served it's purpose and been discarded. There was a great deal of plot development around ZFT and the roles of the cotexi-kids, so to have them all with the exception of Olivia slain so unceremoniously at the end of Season Two was really disappointing. Considering how important the cortexiphan trials, the cortexi-kids and Jacksonville were to the story through all three of the previous seasons it would be very disappointing for that entire story line to be relevant only to Olivia and her powers. I like Peter and Olivia, but the way this show has devolved into a showcase for Peter and Olivia and their bond at the expense of so many great mythos that were developed through especially the first two seasons is really frustrating.

i think a main reason they include different abilities throughout the show's run is so that when you see observers do magic, it makes it more acceptable/believable

they never tried to make another superhero show

    ---

that show was called no ordinary family...

funny how it eventually morphed into a time travel theme, ahaha

So cortexiphan enabled abilities = future evolution of Observer abilities

I've read that somewhere on here, I think that's a fairly good potential connection to be made.

I just hope that in that future, if we're all like observers, our girls don't go bald like us haha

Well I never watched Heroes nor do I intend too, I feel that it would be dumb NOT to include the cortexy kids. What was the point of the trials if they go unused? I'd be satisfied if they only showed up for an episode like the one that could read minds, just to know that they're alive. I was kinda mad at Heath for killing off so many of them.

And yea, I hope Nancy Lewis is okay after that inferno in season 1. She was a better pyro than Sally Clark, she actually killed someone.

Also, maybe I missed something, but I thought Heath could only switch with cortexy kids so how did he heal the woman in the hospital before they crossed over? Or did he evolve his powers? Or is she a Cortexy chick?

I doubt Heath is alive, but his sister should be. His ability to heal himself, temporarily, by killing other Cortexiphan subjects only came on once he was activated. The activation process came later in this timeline, so presumably he has died of cancer.

Any other subjects should still be around, barring accidents.

Right now I remember. Still would be interesting to see what Heath's victims' abilities are. Would be nice to see DRJ get pyro'd instead of split in half this time.

EDIT: I figured out something; does the fact that Sally Clark and some other names we discovered weren't on the list because they were apart of the Wooster trials of cortexiphan?
