Fringe to head to comics as backup plan....

I of course hope it gets renewed, because I hate reading comics.... but thoughts:

I do like the "Fringe" comics, but concluding the main narrative in comics wouldn't feel quite right. I'd
like to hear the actors vocalizing the characters. Maybe, if there are no more TV eps, they
could do a "Fringe" radio play for somewhere like NPR?

A few weeks ago, people were confidently talking about a "Fringe" season 5 coming to TV, probably
as a short 15-ep run. Then the ratings for "A Short Story about Love" came in.

I think they have to consider that NCAA screwed up all the ratings this past Friday

I am devastated that Fringe is going to end on a cliffhanger. I knew all along this was a possibility, and I just wish Fox would have given the writers enough time to write the finale knowing that it was a series finale. Of course this isn't the case. I am pretty pissed about it. This is partly due to the writers' stubborness too.

You make it sound like its a done deal, do you know something I dont? I thought of now no decision has been made and we are still waiting for the axe to fall or for hopefully a chance to end gracefully with a shortened 15 ep season 5!

PS I do not think this thread belongs in the comic book section, but in the general section where I originally posted it. It does talk about the possibility of going to comics but its not about the comics.

I'm fairly sure the showrunners stated they wrote a season 4 finale that would work as a conclusion to the series as a whole. I hope this
is their plan-they'd have to be living in an Ivory Tower not to know the fourth "Fringe" season could well be the last one. I can
imagine FOX execs deciding that giving the show a fifth season is out, especially if they decide to axe all their sci-fi/fantasy
shows except "Touch".
