The idea that DRJ was behind the events from "The Transformation" in Season 1 puts the events of that episode in a completely different light. This episode also explains why Marshall Bowman was able to control the transformation this time but not the last because he had taken the chemicles with him to the stall.

In addition, if the Observers are an outcome of the existing timeline/s then I guess either they're bald, highly evolved fedora-wearing porcubats or this episode concept is simply another somewhat mediocre diversion that raises further questions - which at this late point I believe to be hazardous. As for Jones's plan let alone his God complex, I can see why Bellie 'disowned' him. I would too! How Peter, Olivia and a new little Henry figure in all this we can only but wait and see though [disappointingly] I'm not holding my breath. Will continue to watch with interest, I'm figuring the ratings may possibly on the down slope for this ep. Great if not.

I was watching with my wife, who does NOT like pausing, rewinding, etc.
What was the book that Olivia asked for in the rare book store?
    Thanks.

Peter asked Markham if he had a copy of Gene Wolfe's The Book of the Long Sun, saying it was for Olivia. They then proceeded to subtly coerce Markham into assisting them in determining the significance of the Sumerian tattoo found on Marshall Bowman's transformed body.

    Hope this helps.
