Yes, nice save. Resort to saying you were joking. Nice man, nice.

    Was it not obvious?

In the other thread, was mentioning Joe Cocker's/Jen Warner's duet, not a joke?

You really need to get a sense of humor.
If you say so. I won't push the subject anymore.

My first response to the OP, while terse, was also very much intended as tongue in cheek. The subsequent debate was satisfying on many levels. RandyO, your rebuttals were very amusing, especially the part about spiders being little more than ants with two extra legs.

It was a very light-hearted sparring match aimed at poking fun at the Fringe story and the always amusing banter.

    I enjoyed myself, good post.

Well, shoot, now it's my turn to feel stupid. I didn't realize it was all in good fun. I blame the internet. Without being able to accurately tell how someone means something given that no facial cues can be seen or tone of voice heard, it's hard to know how someone meant for something they said to come across to others. It's not that I don't have a sense of humor, I just misunderstood the way you meant it. I'm sorry Randy.

Getting back to the Mantis reference, there a short-lived Fox series several years ago about a crime-fighting millionaire called "M.A.N.T.I.S.". I thought it was a clever nod to that show.

BTW, was it Chicago for the Christian Bale series and NYC for the Michael Keaton one?
