Has it been determined one way or the other that there is or isn't an alternate DRJ? If there is one, where is he? If there isn't one, why not?

Alt-Jones created the universes and related timeline the series has been chronicling.

It's an infinite cycle, with Jones and Alt-Jones each destroying and (re)creating the multiverse one after the other for eternity.

... would that make DRJ the ultimate mastermind behind every DCU "Crisis" event concerning the multiverse? AHAH!

if they hadn't been so allied with the Redverse, they woudln't have been able to find, figure out or help co-ordinate against Jones' plans. He can now operate a LOT more discreetly.

Was his entire plan a bluff??
Agreed, unless the device he was given would have done something else with/to the machine?!?

Also the Observers wanted Walter to give up Peter when the time came, could they have meant this time when the machine is shut off rather than when he was erased? I mean it never seamed like Walter had to give Peter up last time he disappeared, rather the Observers erased him. Or was it that Walter's sacrifice was to let him get in the machine in the first place. I suppose Peter has not actually dissappeared (yet) so he might remain despite the machine being switched off and Walter's fears were unfounded.

I wondered if the Observers were created from Jones new creations - the beasties we saw those people turn into? The Observers were said to have evolved from humans and Jones has transformed some humans into beasties but I got the impression that the human's new state was not where they were due to end up, ie that Jones had promised a temp transformation to allow them to survive the creation of the new world then he would transform them again in the new world. Hense when that happens they become the Observers, human-like but emotionless???
