Default Did anyone see the secret phone #?

This is my first post, but I noticed something in this last episode that I HAVE to bring up. Sorry I dont have a screen shot

In the scene where Peter meets Tess in the coffee shop, right when he says "Can I get you anything to eat or drink" The camera shoots from Peters angel looking at Tess.

In the background there is a white truck with red lettering, that is blurry. As the camera pans, there is a seam in the window and as the seam passes over the red text the number becomes clear letter by letter and digit by digit. The # was 1-800-444-SALEM.

It is the number of a company called Carus Chemical website here....look legit?

    http://www.caruscorporation.com/

I called the number after business hours, of course got automated recording. Here is where it gets interesting. I called back the next day during business hours, and got same automated line. But there was an option, IF YOU WANT TP REPORT A CHEMICAL EMERGENCY PRESS 1...so I do. It gave me a new number...so I call it.

Call the new number, and a REAL PERSON PICKED UP. Asking me where my emergency was. There has to be a connection between this number and the show...go back and watch the scene if you can. We were meant to see that # in my opnion.

I just wanted to bring it up since no one else has yet.

Actually this has been brought up several times, though as far as I've heard it's a truck leasing company. It was just a passing by truck with the number on the side. I went to the Carus website and went under contact info but the number was not 1-800-44-SALEM. But if you are right and it's not a truck leasing company, 1. I don't know what chemical emergencies have to do with the show and 2. I don't think they would have real people picking up the phone if it was related.

Like with the MD website, it's impossible to login (automatic denial script), the e-mail responds are automatic, and the phone # is just a recording.

Just my opinion...if you find out more I'll be interested to hear

Great work - someone can look up who owns that website to see if it is in play.

Good work KobeFringe. It’s interesting how most of the real world references to actual companies or people’s names are always tied back to some field in science, technology or medicine. On another thread (The Clue for Next Episode) in which this was number theory was brought up, I had actually done an anagram search on SALEM and found SLAEM which stands for Single LAYER analytic Element Model. This is an analytical element computer program for analyzing groundwater. Whatever the true purpose of the phone number, like you, I feel that it might tie in as a clue for the next show. We’ll have to see. Thanks for setting this thread up.

Every clue we find will only help in furthering the unraveling of “The Pattern”.
Peter: Hey Olivia, the cool thing about this is that it is also an mp3 player.

I don't know if this helps, but I did a WHOIS search on their website.

    Carus Corporation:
    http://www.networksolutions.com/whoi...orporation.com

Now here's a WHOIS search on Massive Dynamic.

    Massive Dynamic:
    http://www.networksolutions.com/whoi...ivedynamic.com

They're completely different...unless they're purposely trying to make it really, really hard to connect them.

I wonder if we'll get a news story claiming trouble with prank calls where the callers asked, "Are you aware of The Pattern?"
