Before Jones attempts to cross over and is subsequently cut in half this brief dialog between he and Dunham occurs:
OLIVIA: Don't! (she shoots him once. barely phased, he rises and continues. she shoots again)
DAVID JONES: (not as injured as he should be from his gunshot wounds he turns and addresses Olivia) The teleporter, it may be killing me, but in the meantime, it's made me something rather special. You see, your bullets just go right through me. And soon Doctor Bell will see just how special I am.
As I recall, Jones was portrayed as a disgruntled genius with a score to settle with Bell. Are you suggesting that this was a ruse? Even if it were, one would think that if Jones was complicit with Bell that he wouldn't want to mention him at all so as to throw Fringe Division off his trail. . .
It seems more likely to me that Jones's intelligence network would have been responsible for uncovering the location of the coveted power source. Regardless of the nature of their relationship, Jones was clearly obsessed with Bell (in both timelines), considering how well connected Jones is (FBI agents with ZFT connections at his beck and call i.e Loeb and likely others), not to mention the rest of those responsible for acquiring the tech necessary to release him from prison (the disray). With this kind of intelligence at his disposal it seems possible that he might have learned the whereabouts of this coveted power source by other means than straight from the horse's mouth as it were.
Thoughts?
