Default Alias algorithm - Little Hill!

Peter's algorithm for choosing aliases sort of jumped out at me. I tried to find alternate definitions for Bell and Bishop, and haven't found any viable path yet, but then I went looking for other characters and found this at the genealogy site:
    http://www.searchforancestors.com/su...n/d/dunham.php

    Dunham Surname Origin

Locality. A small village in England, so called from dun, a hill, and ham, a village.

Source: An Etymological Dictionary of Family and Christian Names With an Essay on their Derivation and Import; Arthur, William, M.A.; New York, NY: Sheldon, Blake, Bleeker & CO., 1857.

Did I miss seeing this from someone else already, or did I actually find something first? I'm kind of excited, so I hope this is posted in the right forum. I still have other names to look up, but I thought I should post this so others could work off of it.

I haven't seen that anywhere else.

That's pretty interesting...I wonder if it will come up in the show sometime.

Interesting find! I was thinking about it, "Little Hill" in that sense would mean "Little Dunham," perhaps something to do with Olivia's "pregnancy" in The Same Old Story...? Likely not, but that's what came to mind along with your theory, Rebecca.

Hey Rebecca --- check out these two threads. They tie into what you are saying

Yep, looks like other people have been perusing name meanings too, which I think will yield a lot more information in episodes to come.

I didn't realize that the first thing I posted might tie in to this, also regarding Olivia, in the lab notes thread: http://fringe-forum.com/forums/showp...7&postcount=81

It's just a comment on the image that Walter uses for Olivia in his lab notes, and the possible meaning of all of the oyster and pearl references.

I'd been exploring some other ideas (see below), but Olivia's name makes more sense to me, given what little we know so far.

    ------------------------------
    1. El Cerrito ("The Little Hill"), California

    2. "The Little Hill" by Edna St. Vincent Millay

Oh, here the air is sweet and still,
    And soft's the grass to lie on;
And far away's the little hill
They took for Christ to die on.

And there's a hill across the brook,
    And down the brook's another;
But, oh, the little hill they took,—
I think I am its mother!

    The moon that saw Gethsemane,
I watch it rise and set:
It has so many things to see,
    They help it to forget.

But little hills that sit at home
    So many hundred years,
    Remember Greece, remember Rome,
    Remember Mary's tears.

    And far away in Palestine,
    Sadder than any other,
Grieves still the hill that I call mine,—
I think I am its mother!

I didn't think of it that way until you mentioned that.

That's a great explanation for the question.. Now we have ZFT/Pattern Groups chasing after Olivia because of Scott? If this is the actual answer, then that means that Scott was associated with the pattern even more than previously thought.

Olivia's value is not so much in her mind but her role as a catalyst to almost all of the key players (Walter,Peter,Broyles,Sharp etc..).
I in no way would consider my hypothesis to be certifiable but I must absquatulate.
