how about we are an experiment. like in an experiment you have several groups which you subject to different stimuli and watch to see what happens. if you where to intervine it would alter the experiment. Now suppose the observers are not bound by time. That would make life infinint. An suppose thier goal is to create the perfect sociaty to so they have a desirable place to exist. As in the matrix the quest for a perfect sociaty that can maintain it sell and not self destruct is hard to define. So suppose likes rats you create a number of groups to see what works and what does not.

Question? In one episode the observer caught the bullet then in another he was shot. Why not just catch the built. The explanation was that the girl was important so she must be saved. His dying made her important. But in the end the true reason was he was in love. If the observers are monitors for a grand experiment then would
not altering the experiment for personals reasons invalidate the results.

i don't remember an Observer catching a bullet. us being experiments sounds vary possible. so far the Observers have only interfered twice. Otherwise all they do is watch and report. sounds a lot like a scientist. But now the Observers are interfering by talking to Walter a few times and giving Olivia the prophecy page. as far as we now they interfered over there once when one of the Observers spoke to Walter.scientists are supposed to be emotionless a lot like the Observers, but August felt love and it appears September shows a little sympathy and compassion for August. he also mentions at one point they feared an event was coming. Fear.

maybe observers were sent to our planet by those who put us on here... you know it´s been told that we are some kind of experiment of some advanced civilization from other planets... maybe the observers are the inspectors if these people in our world... that people already know what is going to happen next... and it is nothing good for us...
is like the bible... if someone of you have read the bible the book revelations speaks about the end of the system... the end of the world as it was already happened... we are just recreating those moments... again... that`s why the deja vús...
the observers are reporting the events as they are going on... everything has to happen as it´s been scheduled...
that is why they only take part when it is extremely necessary...
but I can´t quite understand why saving Peter (at least one of them) is so important if the boy is meant to destroy one world... is that what is meant to be? that one of the worlds must be destroyed? but if it´s so.... why warn Olivia? what´s the interest in saving Peter?

Maybe Peter's destiny isn't to destroy a world. Peter is important for other good reasons, i think What if first people and observers decided to create Peter years and years ago for a specific reason?
