    Lightbulb Fringe Rewind

    A 2008-2013 "Fringe" Retrospective

From "The X-Files" era of "Fringe":

A young executive, Mark Young (Ptolemy Slocum), arrives late to give a presentation about a company called ExtenzaLife. After he has finished and the boardroom empties, Young collects his things and then spots a butterfly. It lands on his finger and unexpectedly cuts him. The insect flutters by his neck and cuts him again. When the butterfly lands on a large table, Young rolls up a document and swats it. He discovers how sharp the wings are while examining it. A few other butterflies appear. After attacking him a few more times, the creatures disappear into the AC vent. Young peers into the vent and a swarm of butterflies pours out. As they surround him, cutting him all over his body, he runs hysterically through a plate glass window and falls to his demise, revealing the location: Massive Dynamic's New York City office, in the opening scene of S1-EP9 "The Dreamscape" that originally aired on November 25, 2008.

The scene is enhanced with a powerful soundtrack from composer Michael Giacchino.

Let's hope that alternate Mark Young is doing much better.

    A 2008-2013 "Fringe" Retrospective

    Another Fringe Mystery:

We almost know for sure that ("Bone-o") Bono and U2 don't exist in the alternate universe (maybe in other incarnations perhaps), but does Halloween?

Alternate Olivia does appear to recognize the Halloween décor in the book "The History of Pop Culture" that Thomas Newton gave her to read, but doesn't specifically acknowledge it, in S3-EP2 "The Box" that originally aired on September 30, 2010.

The closest "Fringe" ever got to an 'extraterrestrial'. From S2-EP6 "Earthling" that originally aired November 5, 2009.

Let's hope alternate Randy Dancik is doing much better.

Olivia, well, let's just say, parental discretion is advised .

From S1-EP17 "Bad Dreams" that originally aired on April 21, 2009.
