not my favorite episode, I liked the the last 20 minutes more than the beginning. I understand they had to give a recap for people just joining us that did not see the first 10 episodes, but the beginning was slow to me. I am sure they will be better ones to come.

Dach made some good points about Liv. She did get medieval didn't she? I mean, how many fights did she get in and how many people did she shoot and hit (in the EXACT center of the head no less!) -------- and all this after a spinal tap and being tranq'd not once, but twice !!! I'm waiting for her to kill Bill next, or at least be the next governor of Alaska

I was going to put this in the discussion thread but I can't post it there. So I guess I'll post it here. If it needs to be moved please go right ahead.

    Observations

    The Harris guy is annoying.
He’s not vicious enough for me to fear. He just seems too dorky.
So he believes Olivia is crazy and wants to prove it? What makes him think she’s crazy? Charlie? It would take some high powered bigwigs (Nina or Esterbrook) to get something like his conviction overturned and him put in power over the person who convicted him. I wonder if he was released on a technicality. I wonder why he thinks she surrounds herself with anyone. He must know full well that his friend Broyles set the Fringe group up. I wonder if this is what Broyles was talking about when the political scene heated up over Esterbrook’s treatment.

There are at least two sides maybe three at work here.
ZFT (Loeb/Jones), Massive (Sharp) and a third group (Harris/Charlie?) INtREPUS - Esterbrook.

    Charlie creepier than I thought.
To most people I’m sure having Charlie going to Peter to have him place a phone tap looks great. Makes it seem that Charlie really cares about Olivia. Well maybe he does care and/or maybe he could be setting Peter up for a trip to prison. Get Peter to do enough illegal dirty work, get the documentation for proof he’s done them and Peter could end up in prison easy. Then what would happen? Walter goes back to Arkham. I mean St Claire’s. With the info about Olivia Charlie has, Olivia could be declared insane and she too would end up in Josef Mengele’s, I mean the summoner’s, I mean Dr. Sumner’s clutches. All the info he gathers from her would go to Massive or the highest bidder.

This episode suggests Charlie does not work for ZFT.

    Very serious endgame coming.
    Could it be - Massive?
The pieces are being set. Discredit the Fringe group. Separate Peter from Walter. Gather up what’s inside Olivia’s skull. That all seems to point to Massive as they are the group that knows that John Scott is in her head. Charlie knows too, but he never told. MD had to find out about John in Olivia’s head on its own.

Which is some evidence that Charlie does not work for Nina. Charlie could be clean. Perhaps my hunch about him has no merit. Nahhhhhhhhhh!

Walter working that Love Connection is very funny.
Walter taking every opportunity to mention how much Peter worried about Olivia. He said he was worried too, but Peter was worried more. LOL! You’d think he was trying to start something. Or maybe he’s seen it already.

Could have used more Bishop interaction.
Isn’t she beautiful? Who? The slug. LOL. Very light Peter/Walter interaction, haven’t had some long time, I miss it.

Olivia as superwoman somewhat unrealistic. Doing all that after being kidnapped and drugged is somewhat unrealistic. In the real world they teach you to aim for the torso. It’s pretty convenient that the FBI keeps shooting the Loeb/Jones people in the head. No way for Walter or Massive to really question them after that.

ZFT group knows more than they want to say.
Why does the ZFT group keep asking questions of Olivia as if she has information about things she seems to know nothing about. Jones “you’re new at this.” Loeb, “you don’t know what you’ve done.” Time may travel from sun to sun but dimensional work is never done.

These are my impressions on the first viewing. It was an ok kind of show, but nothing near the best of the first ten episodes. I look forward to better in the future.
    She's watching Fringe...again!

i still dont trust Charlie and he proved it tonight. I mentioned on the thread on "Safe" where Charlie told Loeb where olivia was because he kept calling her and asking where she was. well its funny that tonight he said "Btw i didnt have anything to do with you getting taken, you know that"

    why would he question that?

And that whole scene where Olivia is searching Loeb's house while "in the bathroom" and Loeb's wife calls him at work --------- are you serious? Are we to actually believe that both of them would have gotten away with their secretive behavior in a real world scenario? And Sandord Harris has such a huge vendetta against Olivia, yet he shows how weak he really is when he gives into her "plea for his ethics" and allows her to protect that other doctor? Come on. The character situations were weak and completely unrealistic. And that whole scene in the beginning with Harris and Olivia in the hospital bed, staged so we could get a quick recap of some events. It was like watching the villian give the token monologue! I just thought several setups were awful and once again B Movie drama, just like Dreamscape.
I didn't think the episode was a flaky as you make it out to be.

Loeb appeared to be telling the truth in the interrogation room. If abducting Olivia was really for her own good, as Loeb says "to protect her", then the fact that those doctors gave her a drink makes perfect sense. Meaning, they were actually doing good and will probably turn out to be compassionate people that are part of some sort of rebel group working against Massive Dynamic.

I seriously doublt that Massive Dynamic will turn out to be just some big, benign puppy dog while Loeb and Co. are clandestinely raising hell with the pattern.

Of course, one could also point out that Loeb is associated with David Robert Jones, who appears to be a rather sinister fellow.

    -------

However, I will agree that this was one of the poorest episodes. I really don't understand why Harris is suddenly thrown back into the mix. Also, more Walter was needed.

Strong episode - especially the first and last 15 or so minutes.

Loving the idea that Loeb and co were in fact "saving" Olivia. A lot to speculate there!

We're halfway through the season, and there are still a lot of mysteries about. MD wasn't present in this episode, which is a first. But Loeb IMPLIED that MD was part of what was going on. Also, where was Jones in the episode?

I liked this episode very much. It was what I expected in the beginning, trying to get possible newbies to the up to date, and do a little shuffling with the characters. It was quite enjoyable - IMO - to see Olivia kick some butt, and actually cry like some of us might..... And it was a change to have Peter and Walter in the background, I have no worries that they will return to the forefront in future episodes. And so cute: "Peter was worried about you, Olivia. Really worried!"

    "Walter....!"

    giggle......
