Mysterious object jettisoned from airplane

Do you guys remember the satellite crash moment in CLOVERFIELD at the ferris wheel end scene in the movie? Looks just like it.

I'm not implying it's connected to Cloverfield, but that their production could do lil' clues like that.

Maybe its a homage to Cloverfield. There are lost references all the time in Fringe.

I agree with what others have said before, I can't see this being a mistake. That object looked fairly significant in size and would of had to either be added on purpose for a reason on added on purpose for no reason... I actually at first thought that the object was the "human hedgehog" jumping out of the plane.

I'm not swift on the uptake with some details, but after I got some sleep Tuesday after a tough day, I watched again on Wednesday and even I noticed there's a distinct object arcing off from the plane in a slightly different direction than the plane is crashing. Since engines just don't 'fall off', I don't have a clue. But I'll be fascinated to see what other fans think.

A key question may well be, how long after dosing an individual does the transformation occur? If the timespan is relatively short, it may well be the assassin themselves making a bid for freedom. My gut tells me it isn't a person though that we see so I'm not too sure of this idea.

If the flight had just taken off (I think the movie was just starting) then I would predict the dosage took place before Bowman boarded the plane.

I have concluded that the writers just enjoy leading viewers along. Don't ask me to count or name them but I have seen quite a few irrelevant clues that led to nothing so far.

Not sure but this is kind of interesting, when you watch the video till the explosion happens you will just see the object going below the tree line. If you watch very closely till the end of the explosion you will just see an object being lifted up into the air right where the object had started to fall too. Is this that object being redirected via the blast? And is this possibly why the object/person/thing wasn't at the crash sight? I will take a closer look on my DVR when I get home tonight.

I just watched this episode (with French subtitles ) and I think the mysterious dark object does NOT come from the airliner (not a body, blackboxes, a monster or metal piece from the jet) but it's flying on the right of the airliner.

In fact the UFO is already present when we see the airliner in back window of the car. I think the UFO doesn't crash and is continuing its way when the jet is crashing.

I think you are seeing things on the part about the falling object being able to be seen after the explosion. Nothing there that I can see. Do you have a screen cap of what you are referring to after the explosion?

Since its all CG it is obviously added with deliberate intent but I have no idea of what it could be other than:
1. all the eagle salted peanuts getting tossed overboard.
2. "son of DB cooper"
3. As part of airline cost savings their new method for offloading passengers luggage.

Great catch! Maybe somebody wanted to keep watch on what was happening on the plane and the UFO is some sort of camera or computer recording the "results" of the experiment.
