Alternate McDonald's

In the alternate universe McDonald's does not use the Golden Arches for a logo (not on top anyway) as shown in "Over There, Part 1".

However after all these years, are those french fries or some sort of crown on top of those arches 'over there'?

I agree that they are most likely fries on top of the arches, which could be an indication that McDonald's is more known for their french fries than their hamburgers in the alternate universe.

However with how the Fringe writers liked to play with our heads when it came to clues concerning the AU, I was wondering if perhaps this logo was some type of McDonald's/Burger King hybrid, sort of like Shexxon (the Shell merger with Exxon 'over there'), since Burger King is never mentioned in the alternate universe.
