I agree that they put these little things in for the people who care enough to look hard, but I also think a lot of what we find is unintentional; like the screenshot Stephy found of Bad Dreams with the ambulances' colors and construction workers' vests; that's just the way things happen. But I think the colors of the clothes in the laundry behind the Artist were in intentional. I hope they don't forget to include this red-blue-yellow/green-green-green-red thing in next season's episodes!

Oh, I think the clues are real. Mine was maybe more rhetorical a question; are we seeing more than is there (because we want to); and also, are they putting more in (because they know we want them). A positive feed-back loop.
