I'm surprised how many members found the forum via search engine; I thought I'd be in a minority there. lol.

    Default How I found Fringe

I want to explain why I chose "Other" in the poll. I had certainly heard of the show, but I'd never watched it as I had become pretty pessimistic about new shows that seem to be so off the wall or painfully cookie-cutter that I dismiss them before I give them a fair shake. My fiance and I were in a bookstore DVD department and they were having a really big sale on Blu-Rays and on a whim we picked up the first season. It sat on our shelf for another 6-8 months forgotten until one evening we were playing the "I don't care, what do [I]you[I] want to do?" game until I picked up the box as kind of a last resort and held it up. He shrugged and said, "Sure. Why not?"
Within 1 week we had blown through nearly all of the first season and were starting to try and figure out how we could most quickly and cheaply acquire season 2. An agonizing week of waiting later and we finally received the season in the mail! We finished season 2 in a little over a week. Now we are attempting to scale back our feverish watching of Season 3, but it's not going so well. Currently we are missing the last 4 episodes so it's an enforced hiatus. However, I have no idea what we are going to do with ourselves until September! =0*

OK. I'm an idiot. You asked how I found this forum NOT how I found Fringe. Sigh.... It's amazing sometimes that I am able to leave the house fully dressed and not wearing a potted plant as an accessory...
I found this forum thru the standard web search. I'm not sure if I typed in the specific words "I want a place where I can talk endlessly and obsessively about Fringe and no one will think I'm weird or anti-social" but I was pretty sure I'd found a place when I started reading over some of your threads and forums. Yay! Thanks fellow geeks! Way to make a girl fell welcome! =0)

I just typed 'fringe forum' in Chrome. Might seem like sci-fi, but that's how things work in our century

Jonesing for some deep Fringe discussion...

i went on The Google and typed in "Fringe Forum"

and this site, and the Fox Community site came up

the Fox site wasn't getting the activity that i wanted, so i posted up here

before now, i'd post on FORT (started the original Fringe premiere thread there ) or DVDTalk

FORT the thread doesn't get too many replies anymore, so i still visit the weekly DVDtalk threads

anyways, love this forum, lots of crazed Fringe fanatics and downright demented people here

Honestly, it's been two years, I don't remember how I found this site... I don't remember what I voted for up in the polls...

Hi, found this site while googling for info on possible series 5. Have signed up as my daughter and I are the only people we know who are into Fringe.

i found it because someone made a post on fringe imdb asking anyone if they knew of a more comprehensive site where fringe fans could discuss the show and someone in an answer mentioned this site! as it happens i was wondering the same thing because lets be honest imdb message boards are a mess if you're looking for order and organisation per season/episodes and themes so i google and me voila ici! i'll never go back to imdb fringe board now ! why bother?

I found it when I was looking into how people felt about Peter being erased after season 3. For me, Peter disappearing was a huge surprise and I was totally making up all these theories as what the show would be like without him. That's how I found this site.
