No way! That's awesome! I hope he wins! So, I'm guessing that, in an alternate reality, William Bell had a son, whom he named William Bell, except he didn't want his son to be in that reality, so he tossed William Bell Jr. into our reality, and William Bell Jr. is a dance star on SYTYCD?

By the way, I now think that Bell is out to help us. He warned Olivia, gave her crucial information, and wanted the best for her. Any thoughts?

I think Bell is out to help "Our" Side, but I don't think we should be so quick to trust him. I think Olivia was right, and he is responsible for starting the conflict somehow.

I had always thought Bell went over and told Walternate about the Peter-napping and recruited him to wage war on us.

Now, I think Bell may actually be held prisoner over there and is being forced to work for Walternate. Bell went over and is now inadvertently responsible for all this.

In episode 2.22, William Bell explains that his alternate died in a car crash as a young man in the scene where he and Walter are in the alternate Harvard Lab.

Here is the transcript of that particular scene:

WILLIAM BELL: At one time, Walternate was intent on finding a means to cross between universes. Just as you were. He didn't succeed, but... it stands to reason the technology we need might be here.
WALTER: Didn't Walternate work with you? Or, rather, the William Bell from this side?
WILLIAM BELL: Walternate? No. It seems that William Bell on this side was killed in a car accident as a young man. Over here... the other you and the other me never had occasion to meet.
