Nana Clues and Eastereggs - 2.01 "A New Day In The Old Town"

    CLUES AND EASTEREGGS
"A NEW DAY IN THE OLD TOWN"

Welcome to the clues and eastereggs thread for 2.01 A New Day In The Old Town!
This is a bit like an treasure hunt for the various clues that are intentionally built into each and every episode of Fringe.

The clues are mostly visual and provide fun hints or, sometimes, major pieces to the broader puzzle.

If you'd like to play along, please do so by sharing your observations in this thread!

Here are some ideas on what to look out for (going off last season):

The Observer - usually hidden somewhere in the background of EACH episode.
    The blue lights
The "Next Episode Clue" - each episode contains clues alluding to the nature of the following weeks episode.
    Other clues and shout-outs etc.

As per our rules, please do not post screencaps or photos containing watermarks of other 'fansites'. Fox or network watermarks are of course fine. If you require a screenshot of a specific scene, please ask in this thread (or here) and someone might be able to help you.

*From time to time you may see the "FringeBloggers" watermark on screencaps posted on this site - that's allowed here because they are our sister site.

*If you want to check out last seasons clues and eastereggs, have a look through our clues library or the various episode forums.

*Please note. If you know for a fact what the next episode clue is because you've seen the trailer for the next episode or because you have knowlegde of upcoming info, you MUST use spoiler tags (for text) as not everyone watches the trailers. This thread is for speculation.
    Have fun searching!
(please don't post in this particular thread until the episode begins (earliest US airing), so that we can keep everything relevant - thanks!)

Did anyone see the Observer? I didn't catch him, but I remember someone said that he was at the car crash scene.

Yeah..he's at the car crash scene at the beginning...when the screen pans out, he's at the very bottom, walking from the right side of the screen to the left.

I don't know if this qualifies as an easteregg, but I notice that some of the fringe sciences in the opening theme have been replaced for "hivemind" and "parallel universe".

I just saw a video showing where the Observer was. Am I allowed to post it here?

The number 47 on the car crash scene.

Walter mentionned "moules à la crème normande" (mussels with fresh cream), which is a french recipe. French is also a language spoken By Dr Fischer (1x05), the nationality of Conrad Etienne Moreau (1x13), Marseille (where Bowman worked, 1x13) and Paris (where one of the melted twin was on the picture Walter was holding, 1x19) are two french cities.

And yes, I've seen the observer at the car crash scene.
