The typewriter
Im not sure if I am allowed to mention other websites, so for now i wont.
I have read however this morning, someones linking in of the lab notes from the series 1 episode "the equation" and the typewriter used in 2.01.
Im wondering if anyone is able to match Walters typewriter.. to the one used in the shop in this episode, and Il have to go over previous episodes.. but was Walter using a mirror aswell? Was there one in his room... Is it essential for this type of communication or just to watch them reply?
It does appear that Walter was communicating with someone in his lab notes for the equation.. maybe possibly Bell?
What are your thoughts, and I hope I havnt broken any rules in bringing this theory here for discussion. Its facinated me todaY.

"It has arrived!"
The guy in S2E01 mentions that the typewriter he's using is an IBM Selectric of some mystical model that doesn't actually exist. The IBM Selectric and Selectric II had several different user-selectable balls that would let you change typefaces. This way you could have serif, sans serif, cap/small caps fonts, OCR fonts, etc. You'd probably have to be a typewriter expert (yeah, they exist. My brother actually collects typewriters for some totally bizarre reason) to match the output to a specific model of typewriter. I think this is why the writers resorted to the raised "y," which makes it immediately obvious that it's the same machine.
Not to mention anything that you don't see typed on a typewriter with your own eyes, and especially anything submitted as a web graphic, is most likely created on a computer with a faux "typewriter" style font.

Lab notes - http://www.fox.com/fringe/_media/rec...walter_108.jpg
Appears that if anyone was after Walter at this point, they have gathered all the information they need from him - and that was to ensure that Jones could be taken from his prison. ZFT confirmed as plotting that.
However, if someone was talking to him via that typewriter, I cant help but think it was Bell.. and that both are vs the ZFT.
I dont have access to this episode, so I cant go over it and see if there is a mirror close to Walters typewriter. Or even match the model against the one in 2.01.
Anyone able to help here?

Walter's/Bell's typewriter was not electric, and was much older.

I suppose it does, but hope it doesn't play a great big role. We're going to have to tag everything with 1's and 2's. . .
