    Default red/green homing device

I noticed the big red green reference throughout the episode but i found the red green lights on walters homing device to be very interesting. Anyone else thinking Walter may not be as innocent as he seems?

I didn't notice this at all.

Since the tracker has nothing to do with consciousness, of which the green/red is connected to, and that a tracker merely shows the location of something, I fail to see how the lights would relate to the story, other than being another green/red reference.

Of course, Walter isn't as innocent as he seems. Whether he is aware of this, however, remains to be seen...

I dont know about Water being innocent or not but as far as the remote for that tracking, it did seem as if the camera zoomed in on it as if it were significant. After Walter walked away Peter was quietly looking at Walter, and then finally looked at the device and laughed (why did peter laugh after he looked at it?).

I took that as...Walter so badly wants to be independent but know Peter worries about him when he cannot be found. Walter did the only thing he felt he could do. And Peter realized for once Walter put a lot of thought in it. And Peter knew that and it made him smile.

For some reason, the tracking device reminded me of the assassin's device from August.

I feel like the device is going to become important in the future. I don't know why, but I think it will.

That's what I am thinking. The camera focused on it for a sec too long.

well the whole red-red-red-green scheme has been shown throughout the series, and i'd argue that it doesn't NEED to be relevant to consciousness only. don't forget the assassin just looked down and saw the red-red-red-green and knew exactly who he had to kill and where he had to go.

there needs to be something more to it, because it's just everywhere. and walter never seemed innocent to me. i mean, the man kidnapped his own son from another universe, thats pretty messed up to me. i think not only does walter know what is going on, he was the one who started it. something tells me that him going crazy was just a way for him to escape. i think he's still scared of his creations, and though he may even have the power to stop this coming war, he is too scared to.

IMO I think they jsut wanted to show off the tracking device that he "threw" together. If you look it has the audible sound of how close Walter is, as well as what looks like an graphical display at the bottom. We can already guess that this device will become important in future epsiodes, especially if you saw the previews for next weeks episode. I am not going to say anything since I know sometimes people dont watch them, but I think this device will be used very quickly.

As far as the reasons Walter did it, I think it was pretty straight forward and "innocent". He wants his independence, but understands that since he is at the beginning stages of gaining it back, that he cant do it on his own. He also did this so that If he does come up "missing" again he can be found easily. he understands that Peter wants his father to be independent, but worries since he still has his "wandering" and abscent minded doings.

It looked to me that Peter was chuckling because Walter's device was making an obnoxious beeping noise, which would be a complete pain if he couldn't turn off the sound.

I just couldn't help laughing when Walter said he put a tracking device in his neck, as if that was the simplest way to appease Peter; like, what sane human would NOT put a tracking device in his neck.

That's Walter for you! It made me laugh too; it reminded me of Kramer for some reason.
