Poor Dr. Bishop, he trusted Bell so much and all he got out of it was an artificially induced bout of insanity. I know it was for the "greater good" but what a sacrifice by Bishop. It was interesting to see the "old" Bishop while he was hooked up to his missing grey mater, his arrogance is so strong, what a change!

I got sort of a weird vibe from Newton. He wasn't as evil as I was expecting, why did he bother to use the laser on the patients after surgery? And why was he so civil to all of them including Dr. Bishop!

Olivia is a crack shot as well, two head shots, one when the car was moving! Crazy!

So the ending has left a lot of questions for me ... like, is it possible that Bell has actually been orchestrating the entire thing from the season opener? If he was the one (either with or without Walter's full support) to stash this knowledge in the first place, how can we know for sure that it has not been done with the idea in mind that he/someone in his place would be able to retrieve that knowledge at a future time and reopen the portal at his discretion. IMO it's possible he has used Olivia to set things in motion with the intention that she WILL fail, and that the portal WILL be reopened from the other side ... since he is unable to do so himself.

Also I really liked Newton, probably because the actor has a striking resemblence to the fabulous Ralph Fiennes ... but really, why do they have to keep making the villains so badass? It makes me conflicted!

Peter crying at the end was killing me ... I am so so worried about what is going to happen when he finds out what Walter did now it's awful. Maybe almost losing his father will make him think twice? Or maybe it will make him even angrier .. This hiatus sucks.

I think it is for the best Walter lost those memories for good, though. He was worryingly satisfied to hear how badly the alt world was doing and I found it a little disturbing. I don't like him when he's sane.

+ Just clarifying, since I did not watch the episode live ... I take it there was no promo?

I like the new baddy! Seriously, Newton's gonna stir up some fun. Fun that will make Olivia very, very angry... but fun nonetheless!

    OH. MY. GOD.

I think that's all I can pretty much say at this point. Half of my mind is incoherent so yeah when I'm okay again i'll be back. But for now- oh wow.

Walter says the name of a band he likes to listen to coming down from a valium high, but I can't hear the name of it... does anyone here know the name of that band?

Default Thank you for bringing story back...

First time in a long time to post something here. Been watching the episodes on DVR...GLAD to have seen this awesome episode live.

John Noble really deserves an Emmy or something. His acting is just superb since 1.01, especially tonight, when Walter and Peter realized Papa had a scratch in the back!

BEST MOMENT: Seeing bad-ass Walter for a quick second, "Where's my wife and son?!" Will we ever see Normal-Walter again since his brain matter has deteriorated? I do hope so.

What's up with that quick awkward, too-long-for-a-JJ-coincidence look between Astrid and Olivia when they meet at the house to find out Walter's been kidnapped? Interesting face from Astrid...

What is Newton going to do now that he has all of Olivia's family, coworkers, and friends info, etc. on her phone?

Hmm, they said that the part of his brain that they took out of Walter was memories of his invention. Memories, not Walters thinking part of his brain. In other words, he used another part of his brain to invent the device to go to the other side. Once it was invented it was stored in his memories. What I am getting at is, if he invented it once, he can do it again, creating new memories. So Olivia did good, choosing to save Walter. And compassion is a good thing. When Newton told Olivia that he knew her weakness I wish she would have shot back, "Compassion is what makes me human, what are you?"

Also loved and worried about how much closer Peter and Walter are getting. Really wondering just how Peter is going to react when he finds out what Walter did. Still think that his feelings for this Walter will never go away. Walter has been his father since he was seven. Nothing will be able to take that away from Peter.

I thought it was nice to see "old" Walter too, it gave us a glimpse of the cold calculating scientist that he actually was.

I think the look was one of Astrid feeling distraught and Oliva of almost disapointment. In my eyes it was the leaders dissapointment in the trainee, ect.

Loved the ep! What a way to start the hiatus

What I don't yet quite get if Bell is 'good' or 'evil'... I mean, he took the memories from Walter in order to make sure no one could open the door to the AU. But then again, only he knew where he 'stored' the memories, so with Newton in the picture, does it make Bell bad or did Newton somehow managed to get his hands on the info?

And, as mentioned, that doesn't mean that Walter can't invent a new door, he has done it in the past, he just can't remember it. It might take some time though....

And Bell (and Liv) already entered the AU, so there have to be more ways of entering the AU (or does anyone think Bell used 'Walter's way' of opening the door to AU)?

Why was it so important that Walter's memories should be hidden/die/whatever? What am I missing?

PS: Loved to see sane-Walter, what an arrogance!

Walter: My dear, there is much that is unexplained. Until it is.
    Peter
: In short, he has no idea.
